do any of you know why weather fronts keep changing so its sunny during the week and rainy/cold at the weekend? I’m sure I saw some rational scientific reason for this but forgot what site it was on 😥
and is there any way to combat this?
I don’t really know, but it’s pretty bloody annoying! Most of the work on I’ve done on climate change has been on general weather patterns; It’s very hard to attribute individual climatic patterns to a particular cause such as Climate change.
As there is so much variability in natural patterns it’s only when you do statistical analysis on all weather events that you get an idea of changes.
The simple answer is that it’s a cyclic system. Hot weather causes more evaporation from plants, hence more water vapour in the air that froms clouds; and therefore rain eventually. This is the reason we get so much rain in the UK- we have so many green plants! The more plants, the more evaporation, the more rain. Gaian theory uses this as evidence to support the ide that life maintains the ideal conditions for life to exist.
It is just unfortunate that the current cycle seems to be rain at the weekend, sun in the week.
The answer? We could destroy loads of plants I suppose……….
