Hi guys,
I have a E System 4213 laptop which came with Vista Home Premium pre-installed,
However this was sloooow so I installed XP instead
Just need the Audio driver
Anybody know where to look? (can’t seem to locate it myself )
Cheers
Killa 😉
what sound card is it? or is it built in to the motherboard? is it not detecting it automatically over le net?
you’ll not have much luck .. i’ve got an e-system … and “the tech guys” whoare the support people for them are as illusive as ninjas … there is very little support for these laptops that you’ll find online for free … i think they charge stupid amounts just to talk to you on the phone (assuming you can get in contact with them) … iheard some one say they were pc worlds lap top devision or something .. so might be worth chasing that line of inquery … sry to be the bringer of bad news … i hope you have more luck than i did when trying to reinstall windows on my piece of shit … <3
its a built in job
what shows in device manager thats missing is….”Microsoft UAA bus driver for high definition audio”
went looking for this and came across a sound driver but it never worked so i’m stuck at the moment
erm ok
so e system stands for excrement system then
ho hum
i’ll have to keep looking
cheerz anyways

opps missed the laptop part. I know sod all about them, did it not come with a CD?
it did but was just a vista recovery cd
now it has xp on it
and this driver is turning into being a needle in a haystack
or rather a needle in a pile of needles
drivermax looks promising
downloading it now
will report back soon to let you know what it does
seems to have found pci bridge driver, ethernet driver and vga graphics
all of which bar the ethernet i have yet to install on here
still no audio though, but have saved me the bother of finding the rest

no worrys, perhaps they haven’t made any XP drivers if its a new laptop. You could try searching for some generic ones but that can be very hit and miss if I remember correctly. I would try this if it were me but cant promise it will work http://support.thetechguys.com/layout.aspx?ID={aff7c922-ecc2-4170-99db-b2fe0fd2922d}&CatID={a790afca-b65b-4935-bf80-a535887a8c5c} or http://download.cnet.com/Realtek-AC-97-Audio-Driver-XP-W2K-W98-WDM-driver-VER-5-10-0-5554-zip/3000-2110_4-210198.html
yeah i was gonna sugest generic .. might be worth while trying to find what cards/boards e-systems use ..narrow down the search a bit (alltho when i was trying to do this for the dvd drive in mine – what have a design fault in and constantly break – i had no such luck)
I got it working, needed a hotfix from windows support then the 1st generic driver I tried worked
thanks for all the help guys
whenever I see you I’ll get the beers in
yay 🙂
