I do, every now and again, suffer from the post pill blues. I also want to do what i can, within reason, to avoid potential damage to my lovely brain.
I’ve been looking on the internet for peoples advice/research that has been done but it varies a lot and some people seem to spend all their time/money on taking everything holland and barrett have to offer! I thought i would ask on here for peoples ideas.
I know all about making sure i eat my oranges but any suggestions gratefully received.

Take less in quantity
Increase break time before next episode.
i find that taking shed loads of happy inducing drugs week after week takes its toll,
now i will try and have breaks, if i dont, its my own damn fault then not the drugs
Ive got some 5 HTP, and som Rhioda extract (something like that). The 5 HTP has been mentioned. Seems to work great.
The Rhioda is a great energy booster, which In turns makes you feel refreshed and ready, therefore pretty happy from this Itself.
However, Im not sure If Im imagining It, but after doing around 3 of these a day for around a month I dont think they do much anymore. Well, I say a day… Usually none on saturday or sunday though. Maybe the odd days I take less or not at all depending on how I feel.
Whats that someone mentioned about not taking It until after you crash though ?
Also, the best way to stop the blues at all, is to take things In moderation. Since the party summer started (after the worst of winter) about 3 months ago, Ive had maddy every weekend bar none except last, and Ive been feeling proper shit. However, even with JUST last weekend off, (and I still did some K, if that makes a difference) I feel so much better, and dont feel the need to take these pills to get me through the last few days.
I did something similar with pills a good few years ago but for longer and alot more, and It sent me to a dark place for a long time. I dont advise it at all. Its so Ironic considering the purpose of the drug and the feelings It gives you. It became so bad those years ago with me (look at me talking like a 40 year old ;D ) that I was taking uppers to get over the comedown from the time before I did the same :you_crazy
I feel daft for doing It the last few months with Maddy tbh. But I thought I was alot stronger now (And I am…) but no matter, these things will fuck up your mind, dont underestimate It.
I know there are worse drugs out there, and loads more worse cases than me for whatever reasons, but Id rather people read this and maybe think twice a little.
eat bacon and other similar meats as they contain 5 htp i dont like jsut taking thigns rather get my rebulding done naturally , also bananas and chocolate are good
bacon sarnie followed by a banana then a couple of bars of choc n u will be right as rain in no time

Its kinda of a daft fear these days though for people to no want to take these kind of pills. I mean these are extracts of things, not like some pharmaceutical crap with all sorts of shit. Especially seen as you would benefit far more just from taking these to recover, rather than specifically eating those shitty foods to recover. Its the same thing basically. Maybe eating fatty stuff aint such a bad Idea after a party though, Ive lost fucking loads of weight this year! Wasnt a bad thing at the start, but Im going the other way with It now. I cant get It right haha!
how do u meen, bacon bananas and chocolate are hardly shitty food and its better than pumping your body full of 5 htp before its ahd time to realise whats going on, i think eating the right foods is far better than taking pills to get the same things your gonna eat anyway so why not do your body a favour and eat what it needs instead of taking , 5 htp a bunch on multivitamins and a potassium supliment

Well they all have allsorts of undesirable shite In them. All those saturated fats and other bollocks your body doesnt need.
You can be doing yourself a favour by actually giving your body what It needs, without all the other stuff.
I like and eat meat, so dont get me wrong here, but you can live very healthily without eating it, if More more healthier. Its kind of on the same principle. You can eat these for a fraction of the same goodness, but it comes with other things you dont need at all.
Eating “wholesome” big meals is all bollocks too.
Your way is right… But Id much rather keep a normal diet, and supplement what I need on top of It to regen after drugs, rather than have to put up with the worse effects of extra food.

i dont think u should ever need to take any kind of supplement personally i have taken 5htp and sure it helps but no more than my recipe for good times, supplments are unnatural id much rather get what i need from my breakfast than eat somthing then have to top up with pills jsut to feel better

with regard to cutting down/taking less. I don’t think i could if i tried. I prob take it on average once or twice a month at the mo and have never needed more than 2 :crazy: – i know, i’m very lucky!
But saying that i don’t get bad blues.
When i first took them (as im guessing was the case for most people) i couldn’t get enough – every weekend, always thinking about them. After about 6 weeks i did get terrible blues – but in a way i was relieved – needed some sort of sideeffect to enable me to just get on with my life!
As a matter of fact, I wish that I knew everything I now know about drugs back when I started doing drugs.
It could have saved a lot of depressive moments.
Anyway, anyone else always get depressed around the Wednesday Washout?
I really depends for me how I feel though the week. Usually tho i flip flop between feeling happy or depressed day to day. I might feel well gash on tuesday but for some random reason im feeling well positive about my life on weds… then back to the blues on thurs! :laugh_at:

5-HTP is not present in significant amounts in a typical diet. The human body manufactures 5-HTP from l-tryptophan, a natural amino acid found in most dietary proteins. 5-HTP can be obtained with the use of supplements, an amino acid that leads to its natural production, tryptophan, can be found in a number of food sources. These include red meats (beef, pork, lamb, and wild game), poultry (chicken and turkey), and seafood (tuna, salmon, halibut and shrimp), as well as cottage cheese, Swiss cheese, peanuts, cashews, and avocados. However, eating food that contains L-tryptophan does not significantly increase 5-HTP levels. The major dietary source of 5-HTP is the African plant Griffonia simplicfolia.
