has anybody been on one or know of where to go? found one but its pretty pricey. esp as im broke at the moment. just wondering if anybodys got any info…

i was gonna put this in the drugs bit, but thought its probably more suited in here.

after reading lots of accounts, im unsure of what to think about the ayu experience. some people have the ego death and say they experience themselves as part of the collective concious and that we are all one and the same and that there is only one concious seeing itself subjectivly (or something like that) and that all people praying to gods are praying to the ego, but then it goes on about plant spirits and the power of the vine gods, which seems a bit wierd. guess theres only one way to find out what there on about… :weee:

what was your ayu experience like Iacchus?

Do you find stuff like that powerful? Just wondering cos when I read it I just think “well we all have interesting yet mad thoughts when were fucked” yet some people seem to find them really powerful. I think I dont really get it.

I mean from my perspective we are defenatly not all one, there is no collective concious, there are no gods plant spirits or anything else. Just trying to understand other peoples perspectives on it really…

ps for example I have (on K) felt like I could see how the whole universe fitted together, how it was all connected and it did feel powerful real and very interesting. I guess a lot of people would call it spiritual or even religious. But when I was soba it was just an interesting thing that happened when I was fucked. No more powerful than a good chat with a mate when drunk etc Didnt change my perspective on anything, its just a visual reflection of thoughts that I was having and about how I see the world in part I think.

personally i think k trips are nothing more than that. i have never really recieved any kind of insight from my k trips. not sure why.

but with acid and dmt i have had some very powerful experiences. and once on acid a very spirtual experience. i was just looking for the thread then, but i cant find it. in short ended up meeting my ancestors. my friend also had the same trip about 15 minutes later. i hadnt told him what i had experienced but he then described exactly the same exp as me. i also met this old american guy when i was travelling, the one that recomended me the tarot cards and i was explaining what i had experienced and he was just nodding and smiling and then said yeah thats your family. and apparently he has had exactly the same experience. not just meeting them, but almost exactly the details of the trip as well. bizare.

so yeah personally i belive all these types of experiences whether on dmt,acid,shrooms or ayu are a lot more than just our brain making up shit when we are on drugs.

that’s cool man, I am kinda jealous tbh! would love an experience like that but I dont think my brain thinks in the way sadly. You never know though, maybe some good cid and a hot sunny day some time in the future.

EDIT: saying that I couldn’t really risk my mental health with anymore rugs, even in the quest for a healthy experience. Damn it.

recent scientific developments are hypothesising that consciousness is a projection onto a special dimension. Everything we know about brain function doesnt even touch on the problem of dualism and its certainly feasible from a scientific point of view that everyone’s consciousness is a subsection of the same unit, or at least capable of inhabiting each others space if the ‘norm’ of brain function is modified.

i did lots of research and followed the most basic brew very closely, bought a PH meter and coffe grinder, spent most of a day cooking it up. I think I might have fucked it up by not using distilled water (couldnt get hold of any in time) and I think i should have used more leaf

I definately got the MOI effects from it but dont think i got enough of the DMT inside me.. i vommited it up really quickly. Although we snorted some DMT when it didnt work and it lasted ages so think there was some effect

psychedelics have significantly increased my interest in eastern religions.. ive felt some uncanny sensations of being a subunit of a greater thing, and that all consciousness is a slice of ‘the source’.. some very profound experiences. Although I retain my usual scientific skepticism I find it hard to attribute such amazing feelings to mere brain malfunction.
