Yeah, the portable drives are really good. Although I did lose one but that was where I lost power while writing to the drive.
I have a little pocket sized 500gb and a larger not so portable 1tb.
You can get solid state drives now which are virtually indestructible but are quite expensive.
Or you could buy some cloud space.
