i have very little time for super paranoid fiction these days, a few years back i used to think wow conspiracy theories are interesting and did alot of research for and against but i just find them pretty ridiculous these days to be honest.
that video doesnt show anything at all? if you say so mate
Debunking 9/11 Conspiracy Theories and Controlled Demolition – World Trade Center 7, Building 7
why don’t you look at both sides of the arguement? not just some controversial money making film.
i doooo not believe in jews taking over the worrrld or the American government getting Muslim people to commit suicide into buildings!!!
I’ll watch it soon but i do not think i’m gonna like it from what i have read, sounds controversial but pretty funny
I could say most of things to you too. I do look at both sides of the argument, and you seem to be assuming what the film is about. Is it not just as absurd to read someone’s reviews about it on the net and decide you believe this more and believe this is some paranoid fiction?
Why not watch it and make your own opinion. You are following up what I have written with things that have been tackled in the film. Which Is why i said watch it, then come back and debate.
There are 2 sides to these types of things. The “normal” people who think the other side is a bunch of paranoid idiots and the other side who think the normal people aren’t opening their minds. I prefer to sit in the middle. At the minute you appear to be the first. Automatically branding this doc as some conspiracy money making film. Watch it before you make an opinion
but you do not just need to watch this film to know about 9/11..!!??
it only came out two years ago…
alright dom? hows it goin?
‘What I hate most about conspiracy theories today and also those who tell conspiracies, is how they create disclaimers of sorts, because they know what they are saying is easily proven incorrect. For example, Zeitgeist, the movie’s web site essentially says that the movie is not supposed to be the truth, but rather help people look for the truth. It is a ridiculous disclaimer in order to tell others that “if I’m wrong, I already knew it; it wasn’t meant to be true, just to help you keep an open mind.” ‘
LOL!

But you do Poly, it just so happens the film you watched and decided to follow wasn’t called Zeitgeist.

This isn’t a disclaimer. It’s explaining the movie isn’t about being able to answer the questions or bring forward ‘the truth’, it’s about presenting enough evidence to be able to ask the questions that conflicts with the stories we are led to believe is true.
The most effective way to reach out to people is by film and television, so it’s not neccessarily a money making machine. And if it is, then shit – I’d rather go make this film money then kick back and watch Disney’s Cinderella.
but there have been many many debunks of 9/11 which i have read before and honestly do believe
even south park says if u believe in 9/11 conspiracy you are a retard (that isnt a debunk but it is funny)

Then it’s obvious ain’t it – Cartman and the rest of the South Park gang are behind 9/11

is it factual?
Is there such a thing?
I think the massive question in life is how much “faith” you are going to put into other people. Afterall, anything you have seen or experienced yourself is open to misinterpretation, heresay, chinese whispers, lies ect ect. Everyone goes on about “Nah, don’t be daft it’s this”, or “But didn’t you read that”… Whereas noone knows fuck all either way.
Buuuut, it would be a sad life if we couldn’t make a an opinion even still but I suppose we’d all be daft and hypocritical if we put too much passion into these opinions.
Course there is exceptions where things are obvious, but for the rest of things…
I agree with Dom, basically he is asking the philosophical question is there is an ‘objective’ reality that we all experience ( a strain of thought associated with behaviouralism) or do we all see the world through our own lens view, i.e. are our views socially constructed (social constructivism) …
…personally i am on the social constructivism side of the argument……
……sorry to sound like a twat, but doing a political science degree and i guess some of it must be sticking cos i am starting to relay my course to arguments i see in the media/forums and even pissed up arguments with mates………
…..fuck i think i need to get a new hobby…….
