Wow.

Dead Island was announced a while back, it is an open world, first person zombie slasher. The peeps that make it claim the game is way beyond a typical first-person shooter, due to a bigger emphasis on melee combat, role-playing elements and a clear focus on story-telling – but it’s not the game I’m excited about, it’s the trailer they’ve just released…

Instant goose pimples and emotional attachment to the characters, mind-blowing graphics and a gripping background track, watch it here.

Amazing huh?!

Nice! The music definitely helps but the whole trailer brings a bit of empathy and attachement to the characters which is often lost in video games.

i saw this when i was with two friends.. and they were like, “that’s horrible, it’s so sad.. i think it should be less horrific and gory!” and i kinda went along with it so i didn’t look brutally insensitive, but i couldn’t help but think how amazing the graphics are :O

Good advert but I doesnt really tell you much about the game. I do like to see in game footage really

A little too impressive ,

That trailer will have been pre rendered within an inch of its life, I’ll wait to see how the actual game footage (or maybe game play, does anyone remember that?) is released.

This looks amazing. I love the zombie genre, hopefully the gameplay will be on par with the trailer! Nice one Kasper, will be keeping an eye out for this.

Obviously you can never judge a games actual merit off the back of a trailer but this one at least shows that the story has potential and the designers have actually give thought to characters rather than just ooo look at the pretty pixels.

This had better match up to the trailer though…..

I think Dead Island is going to be a FPS/RPG type game. Also having had a look at some gameplay images I’m not as excited as I once was. :crazy_diz
