OK I want to get my bike on the train if I go to certain places up North Norfolk (as they are 5-6 miles walk from the stations)
a while back I asked some people and they said you could do it but your bike had to go in a certain part of the train depending on the “class number” and you would have sometimes to pre-book it with One/NX
I think it was something to do with whether it was an electric train or those diesel ones, (other than that they all look the same to me), but what should I look for? any trainspotters in the house lol? :laugh_at:
i thought any train with sufficient space, they should let you anyway if its not busy…
sorry GL, havent got the foggiest
here in london there are specific bike bits but no one pays any attention
most commuters have those fold up bikes in the mornings, they’re pretty expensive the ones I looked at though

bromptons and moultons, they are bare expensive and not that good if you do 20 mile runs (although people have done them)
My concern is the Ipswich > Norwich bit, as yuppies from London sometimes take up all the bike spaces as they come up here to cycle as they are too frightened by Londonistan traffic
if I can get to Norwich the coast is <20 miles from every point
or as worst case get the hogwarts express to lowestoft and go from there but its a fair few miles..
ohh, I’d love to go on the hogwarts express and eat chocolate frogs and do spells
