It’s interesting reading the discussion page on Wiki Leaks about that actually, people are expressing their disgust against Wiki Leaks for finding friends names on there even though they like Wiki Leaks (when it doesn’t involve someone they know).. hypocritical cocks.

While i don’t support the views of the BNP. I do think that it’s a bit hypocritical of people to slam em for their political beliefs. Who gives a fuck really.

this is why I will never sign any kind of petition or join any activist group. No one can be trusted.

Most of the pointers hint to hardliners within the extreme right leaking this info rather than progressives; the idea being to increase racial tension within communities and encourage both sides to take matters into their own hands.

if this tactic is “OK”; others from the right wing will feel that releasing personal info on progressive campaigners such as environmental activists or even hacking a rave network to get info on suspected drug users and intimidating them/passing info to the feds is OK.

It is however completely hipocritical for people to moan about a “surveillance society” yet constantly want to dig up dirt on others…

there are people on that list, such as journalists, who signed up to the contact list as a way of investigating the BNP

in about 2003 I had a BNP leaflet through my door and contacted them because I wanted to know about how active they were in my area (so I could do something about it)… I could have been on that list if had been leaked a few years earlier, even though I find the party hierarchy fairly grim and despise what BNP stand for.

but i also support freedom of speech and political expression.

so for those reasons i’m fairly ambiguous about this list being leaked

IMO if you are going to be part of something then you should admit it to the whole world. I’m pround of my beliefs and my views and I don’t ever say anything online or elsewhere that I would not want to say in front of anyone. (Even though I’m sure some of my posts on here and SJ will be back to bite me in the arse one day!!)

Much as I severely disagree with the hard right views of the BNP, I truely believe that they should have the right to give their views. And I also believe that they should stand up and admit these views and expect to be challenged on them constantly.

Skulking in the shadows only shows that they are embarressed to admit who they are…..

it would be a bit odd but then again I remember they once managed to hire a black DJ/sound crew for one of their functions!

Seriously though, most people particularly in East anglia are increasingly stubborn enough to stand up and state their views – and even defend them by force if need be, something that has kept the authorities here busy for centuries.

But there’s a massive step up from people stating their opinions in a public place or an online forum to their home address being leaked to the public internet, thus laying them open to randoms trying to attack their private dwellings. Of course they may share the address with other innocent people!

i don’t agree with the list being leaked, vendettas against individuals will not change the mindset which leads to being a BNP supporter, that needs to be challenged in other ways

however i have the entire BNP member list saved on my computer

call it more a research study, analyising, im not going to act on it or anything, unless there is a member with a profession where i think it is potentially dangerous for them to harbour these views and work in that profession

its so easy to make mistakes… whether or not lists like this are linked

a couple of years ago long before this ever got leaked a BNP leaflet and a Christian newspaper were put through my door roughly around the same time.

I saw a middle aged, bespectacled white man furtively walking away from the door with a troubled expression – and was close enough to stalking him for a bit and seeing how I could fuck his life over as initially he fitted the exact profile of what I’d have thought a BNP activist in this area to look like..

but I watched him and then I realised “hang on, I’ve seen that face on telly and the news recently”.

It turned out he wasn’t BNP at all but the dad of one of the murdered prostitutes and his missus (the mum of the murdered girl) was black!

He had of course put the Christian newspaper through the door as the stress of his daughter going on smack and then on the game had turned him to drugs – and whilst I don’t agree with their religion either he clearly had his reasons for his actions and I bear him no personal malice….
