what he said. there was a thriving scene across all three Eastern counties but its fucked at the moment. the cops and locals decided they had had enough after 20 years of it.
its a big shame for you younger lot, I came here in 2006, and there was about 10 active crews and parties every weekend but it got out of hand so the lockdown came. Everyone I know has either lost their rig, is in trouble and they don’t post on here much or at all because they are shit scared of their connections being traced and getting grief off OB and that has actually happened to people
TBH I’d be gutted if I was 18 or 20 again and was in this situation.,
The reason info is hard to come by here isn’t because people think you are a undercover or anything like that but there just isn’t much going on, unless you or your mates are willing to drive 100 or so miles and even then stuff still gets busted, also traffic cops know if you are “not from the area” because of cameras/surveillance and search you more ..
at the best case it is going to take at least a year if not two before any sort of outdoor rave event (even legal ones) is regularly “tolerated” in Suffolk.
However you are still young and two years can pass quickly if you find other ways to occupy yourself – DJ’ing, music, art, you can still do all of that even if there are no raves – we’ve got a radio station where new talent is always welcome, a big photo gallery etc..
