RESULT:
Oh my days, that was truly sick. the natives tore up the dance floor, while the hip hop crew provided the funky respite in the mellow room. the primalvisionaries were true to for trippin people out, sendin em trance like, perfect for…
DJ FREAKY FLOW was amazing- perfect scratches, tight mixes, classics mixed wit the new, plus a surprise d n b mix with every little thing by sting- trust it blew the roof off…
The peak of the evening saw the best british hiphop mc alive right now, the north london dogheart dapper dan, finsbury parks finest, skinnyman. the intimate venue was perfect for his blend of crowd stompers and social poetry. the people who came to see him were in hiphop heaven, and the folks who didnt know got told.
seriously the best clubnight ive been to for years- and i helped make it happen….. magic
I heard it was sick . But what party are u realy talking about ?Are you talking about Brighton which is located in Brooklyn ?
naah, fraid not,the brighton on the south coast of england 😉
i wouldnt be suprised if u heard bout it in brooklyn. we dont rock the party, we rock the world. 😎
LOL I got you man . Nah cuz I though you`r talking about Brooklyn for a second.=)But it`s all good , I wish I could go to Endland right now . I was in Amsterdam once with my friends , it was an Undreground Rave Party, very niceeee =) I loved ittt.I had the best trip of my life.
lol well i guess i missed this party by a mile lol— freaky flow is sick though– i live in the UK now- but am originally from TO canada– and i have seen freaky flow a few times– gotta love m
my housemate is canadian, from toronto. freaky flow was a well safe bloke, i remember him clearly just being so chilled, and id only heard him once before so i was hyped to hear him. meeting skinnyman made that night for me. he is a legend, shame the album is a bit spoilt thanks to some unjudicious sampling.
where abouts are you livin now?
…..was in brighton till about a week ago actually
sound, and now ur in oxford? my lady is from that way, i fucking hate it to be honest, the difference between haves and have nots is a bit too painful to me, it makes me feel that those with money dont give two shits that they are privelaged at the xpense of others. city of bastards, basically. cowley road is nice for a visit tho.
look out for the baraka crew’s nights, ive heard good things.
i havent been here too long– around a week i guess- but oxford seems alright, i mean i havent seen much of it- and havent been able to check the club/party scence out here yet cuz well money is one issue (canadian doller doesnt get you too far in this country lol–) and well since i just moved here still dont really know anyone here to party with– but other then that its seemin alright here—- and cowley rd?– lol yuh i’m livin just off that
yea, its not that bad from a visitor pov, beautiful archtecture etc, but the politics are what gets me. some of the most intelligent and rich people in the world, and they cant see what is happening in front of their own eyes. the ammount of social justice schemes coming out of oxford for foreign causes, yet so little done about the local problems. cowley does have a green party rep tho, so its not all bad. im just an old cynic.
is it the brickworks on cowley? that orange place. ive met some well safe people people in there, and you should be able to find out about the ridgeway parties (the ridgeway is an ancient track where a lot of freeparty have happened over the years).
and as i said, any parties by Baraka should be good…my lady is in france at the mo, but when she gets back i’ll ask her for some more advice 🙂
yeah– i know brickworks lol pass that sucker on my way to work everyday— guess i’ll have to pop in and check it out somtime–
— thanks for the tips, anymore advice you have on wheres good to hit up in this city or not would be awsome- cuz as you may or may not know when you first move to a new country/city alot of times your pretty damn clueless on whats good and not– i mean some places have so much hype and you hit it and its so bunk and vice versa. but theres nothing worse then gettin all pumped about some big party, only to get there to see the crowd is shit, the venu is shit and worst of all the sound is shit lol–
yea, new cities can be hard, and its gutting to go out to a shit night, especially when you have little time and money.
as i say im not a massive fan, so i dont know the place too well, but it definitely has a good selection of bars, and i went punting once which was good laugh, if you ignore all the snobs.
clubbin wise, check this, its a bit bbc, but it covers a fair few nights, so you can decide what ur after. i would say saturdays at the coven look good, project storm is pretty well respected in th eunderground.
lol i havent gone punting yet but its def on my list i gotta do that- but i’m not being the one with the stick lol i’d fall out— but hey if you pay a lil extra and get them to do it for you they toss in a free bottle of wine lol- i’m down with that!
and hey thanks a ton on the tips of where to check out in this city- def useful
