Trojan isnt just an armed unit though is it? I thought it delt with black on black gun crime in London? Certainly used to, I have a book on it

Thats Operation Trident (which actually started in 1986 following fights at the Notting Hill Carnival). More recently Operation Trafalgar has been set up to deal with shootings involving other criminals.

Trojan is the first part of the radio callsign of a met police armed unit (such as Trojan 413). metpol seem to use old style identifiers more than other constabularies, presumably as they had wireless sets in their vehicles before many other police. Others include “Central” for a CID unit, Cyclops for the big cherry picker with a camera on it they sometimes use as protests, and “Teapot 1” for the mobile canteen!

The right hand side officer is doing the British Police chicken dance, where they put their arms on their chests or tuck them in to the armholes of their body armour quite then flap their arms.. I’ve noticed loads of cops doing this in recent times.. this seems to have occured ever since they were issued the airwave radios, maybe the radiation is getting to their brains!

Perhaps I should link this to the “do drugs damage your memory thread” haha! cheers for the info GL

    chicken dance raaa

pre-coalition Cameron signalling a left turn(!), with a metpol protection officer in plain clothes on a bike behind him.. the cop’s bike and cycling gear are like something straight out of Ashes to Ashes :laugh_at: (loads of old bill ride racers though..)

That police dude’s got legs like a kick boxer O.O

I wonder if Cameron has access to a shower at work, perhaps we should invite him to post on the BO thread

HAHA yeah – now you’ve said that … cameron has his arm up … look at the guy on the bike behind hims face “PONGY!”

(allso i allways wondered how cameron got his hair like that – now i know :laugh_at:)

Well considering the poor state Gordon Brown has left this country in I’m not surprised those burglars have armed protection.

They could really hurt themselves, those poor poor criminals.
