I don’t know if MHRA only covers England and Wales but there should be quality audits of all pharms and dodgy/fake stuff results in alerts being issued to every healthcare organisation, we get them at work quite regularly – they used to be sent by fax but they are currently sent to the matron/head nurses email and it would be pushing to boundaries of ethics to trigger a “compliance check” to see what is in there (it takes bloody ages too, and the app which processes the decryption key often also acts up).
I need to speak to the matrons anyway next week about a new internal comms system they have requested and if I remember will mention this to them, although I suspect all thats happened is the printing format has changed and the new datasheet hasn’t been properly communicated to the pharms or whatever NI’s authorities are for quality checking.
