    LOL I STAND CORRECTED :laugh_at::laugh_at:

In reply to the question of beating sniffer dogs, it really comes down to whether your expecting to encounter dogs or not,
If your not expecting to get sniffed, theres not much you can do to avoid or beat it, but if your carrying lots of drugs around often, a little sonic speaker is probably a good investment.

When entering a festival theres a good chance that you will get sniffed, so take precaution, put your drugs into balloons, tie them off, and wash your hands and the balloons in the sink, partly for drugs and hygiene 😛

if doing this just before the festival, be careful about what you were carrying them in before you ballooned them, those jeans that had the pills in the pocket will smell!
its a bit more effort to open them in the festival, but it beats a conviction.

Wear the drugs up high, either a folded bandana on the head or a hat, or even in your mouth.

The whistles and speakers can be effective, but come with their own risks of getting caught.

One of the smartest and funniest things I have seen done is rubbing your shins with citronella oil (the orange insect repellent for tiki torches). Dogs really dislike the smell of citronella, and it is used in barking training collars.

I was waiting for the gates to open of a festival here in Australia, and a guy started passing around a spray-pump pack of citronella, I reckon the first 200 people through the gates must have annoyed the shit out of the dogs 🙂

And I would expect they would find it hard to smell anything else through the scent, so if you dont mind smelling a bit like a tiki torch, you could try that trick!

And last but not least, avoid being sniffed!, work on your side stepping skills, and pay attention when your running the gauntlet!

That citronella looks an interesting tactic.. i’ve ordered a small bottle for £1.50 on ebay inc postage!

My only concern would be that police catch on to the idea and also investigate anyone that the dogs seem to want to stay away from !

I got caught by a sniffer dog at Tottenham court road station a few years ago. It was called Oscar and was a active police dog. I could feel it poking it nose on the underside of my backpack. Not un-suprising seeing as I had a half bar on me. However while I was there they busted some guy who had a single tab of acid in a foil wrap, in a tobacco tin, at the bottom of his bag. I thought that was pretty impressive. They only use the dogs for a short period according to the guy that arrested me (it was a busy night so we had a bit of a chat while we were waiting in the cage, and custody suite, he was actually quite sound for a police officer) He said they run them for no more than a hour at a time, normally around 20 – 30 minutes. Its like a game to the dogs, like fetch.. after a while they get bored of it and aren’t interested anymore, then they won’t play.

I’m not sure if the operating time is due to the dogs, or just the number of arrests/space in the vans.. but they don’t operate for that long.. They have a good sense of smell too, there were people caught with pills and trips when I got arrested, didn’t see anything else.. but I would imagine if they can smell acid they aren’t going to have any problems with posh etc.

I would love to know if they are trained to smell Research Chemicals like 2c-i at the moment, as things like that are only going to come more common in the future and I can’t see the police keeping up with all the new chemicals around at least thats just something I think, no factual basis for it.

I hear there are trials of electric sniffer “dogs” which never tire and also indicate the type of drugs they smell… that stuff scares me… One of my friends was caught by dogs in the past with 1/8 of posh on him and a henry of green… He gave the police the green and they let him go, as the dogs only indicate you have come into contact with something, not what you have… With electric systems that wouldn’t happen…

Wow! What a great experience. 🙂

So, if you wanted to take a g or two of md on a flight, would that be a really stupid risk?

on balance I’d say yes. smuggling is normally always viewed as worse than simple possession by both the country into which the drugs are being imported and your home country.

also from a moral POV if you are genuinely “multicultural” you will also respect the customs and laws of a country when you are their guest, even if you disagree with them – or you will make your displeasure known by not spending your cash to travel there!

OTOH if you are travelling into a more liberal country (such as many EU countries) then you might as well get drugs locally there!

i don’t know if this is a stupid question or not.. but can they smell if you’ve taken anything but no longer have it on you? like on your skin or hair or hands or something? or are they not quite that effective?

the ion track (“electronic dog”) can. not sure about the real ones, unless its weed.

its not however illegal to associate with drug users unless you are providing the house in which they take/deal drugs.

If you are not carrying anything all a positive sniffer dog indication is only “soft intelligence” that you may have possessed controlled drugs in the past or associate with those who do, rather than evidence which can justify anything more than a search.

so if, hypothetically speaking, a poorly wrapped g of k managed to cover the entire contents of your bag, but you don’t actually have any on you.. what would happen? would they take your name and keep an eye on you?

and what is this ion track thing? i’ve seen a few posters up around pubs and stuff but i’ve always wondered..

    Hi all ,
” can you beat a sniffer dog ” yes but aint that a bit mean !!!!! 🙁

for small/trace amounts they can only question you and if they don’t find anything larger have to let you go but would probably take your details. whether they are followed up depends on who your friends are and what they are wanted for if anything..
