Beating a sniffer dog is easy. Just wack it round the head with a trout.

If you do, the handler or other Animal Welfare people get very annoyed.

BUT, if you plant something REALLY, REALLY stinky on you that you can “find” and then say “Oh look, all it was was a slice of Gorgonzola” then it might help.

Alternatively, plant the cheese on somebody else. Preferably a hippy or some other dodgy looking sub-culture type. Some regular travellers offer “designated decoy” services.

But the BEST way, is to bribe the customs official. That way the little buggers can howl all they like and their handlers are somehow deaf.

EDIT: They can smell fear. So, to help with that, imagine yourself chewing slowly on their face or other sensitive spot. Actually that’s probably a really bad idea but it might make you feel better.

Just saying but, my friend at bestival had a sniffer dog come up to him… gave the dog a little whack across the face with his bag and sent it running (The hit wasn’t too hard, no RSPCA bullshit up in here)… didn’t even come back, but remember this was a small sniffer dog so don’t go try doing that to a German shepherd or something, pretty sure they will eat u…

Oh and alternatively put things between layers of facial wipes and reseal the pack usually works, as said before u can take out the ball of a deodorant roll on and stash stuff in there… Vacuum packaging your clothes while putting things in your like pockets then vacuum pack it all… Uhh thats all i can think of the top of my head anyways

Hey guys just wondering if this method would work?

Got an event to goto that goes for 2 days/camping and will be trying to get a couple of pills in.. was thinking of wrapping each pill in glad wrap, stick them in sandwiches covered with peanut butter and then glad wrapping the sandwich (clear glad wrap so you can see the sandwich). That being said the sandwiches will be in an esky filled with heaps of food, water and drinks covered with ice.

Would that seem pretty safe against sniffer dogs??
