Forums › Rave › Festivals › **CANCELLED ***Underground Music Festival 2013 – 13th – 16th September 2013 – Surrey
Pioneering the mix of Live Acts and DJs to bring you the best and friendliest parties and festivals……..We are a group of representatives from the UK underground music party scene who now want to bring together everything we have to offer for the entertainment of party and festival goers everywhere. We encompass musicians, sound engineers, lighting technicians, music producers and writers, décor artists, promoters, event organisers and more.
Over the years we have come to find that there is a real niche for a smaller, friendly festival with emphasis on djs and live acts ranging from reggae to Jungle, D’n’B to Reggae/Dub, House, Techno to Psy Trance, Electro, Ska to Punk .
We have never held ourselves out to be, and never will be a massive headliner-driven festival at an exorbitant cost, but we do promise to give you an unforgettable weekend of outstanding music performed by amazing people. We offer all this and more combined with a fun, light hearted, safe and friendly vibe.
Unlike many other festivals we can see the benefits of staying small and friendly and growing at a slow and steady rate
Between us we have put on hundreds of parties and club nights as well as crewing at various festivals and music events over the years, including at such high profile venues as the O2 and Wembley. We have broad experience doing professional lighting, being stage crew and running areas at festivals in previous years and also at other events and club nights.
We have brought all this experience together to bring you Underground Music Festival – we hope you enjoy it!.
Early birds available from 1st April @ £50, full price £60 from 1 May or when early birds run out – keep checking here or the website for the ticket link! 🙂 🙂

Full Line up can also be found on the website… there’s still more acts to be added….
“Wrekon was formed in 1997 – a partnership between Debs and Strapper, on-the-road artists from the infamous Mutoid Waste Company.
Since then Wrekon’s weird and wonderful artwork has become a renowned feature at many summer festivals. Their twisted imaginations turn scrap metal and other waste materials into spectacular sculpture – they live in a world where planes turn into lizards and motorbikes into giant hares…..”
Announcement 2 – we are proud to announce that the mighty Desert Storm Soundsystem will be attending UMF 2013!
Digital Storm / Desert Storm is a collective of DJ’s and producers who have played throughout the UK and Europe, from festivals to clubs free parties and Teknivals.
Keeping it underground with Criminal Justice Bill marches and Reclaim the Steets parties, the late nineties saw them travelling mainly within Europe France, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Holland, Austria, Czech republic, Slovakia, Poland, Hungary and bring dance music to the frontline in Bosnia, Tuzla and Sarajevo during December 95 and 96.
Other memorable events include Barcelona new year’s eve 2000/2001 which brought together European tribes in an explosion of arts and music in the Badalona industrial area.
Other projects include Bassline Circus a show combining electronic music with performance and visual arts. Bassline Circus have toured Europe and the UK under a big top.
Look out for further releases from the DigitalStorm & Desert Storm record labels.
Digitalstorm producers Bstorm Visor and Mr Psik bring you the breakbeat arm of Dstorm recs anything from Oldskool Jungle Electro Hiphop Dancehall Breakz Glitch hop Dubstep. Expect some Phat & Heavy Breakbeatz and Basslines.
Desert Storm continues to promote creative innovation and freedom of expression within the underground network. Much respect duely given to all sound system crews passed present and future.
Desert Storm will be doing a takeover on the main stage plus some cheeky sets elsewhere in the festival over the weekend….
Not gonna miss this one again this year. My GF dislocated her knee the week before and I had to sell my ticket. I was so pissed. They not using the horsham site again this year are they. I don’t think they have announced the location yet. I hope it’s in sussex though.

It’s in Surrey mate this year…. can’t give exact local but it’s easy enough to get to… not using Horsham because of the noise restrictions… there’ll be longer music hrs at this one 🙂
Although I’m not playing this year because of impending baby arrival… i’m due 3 days before the festy lol… Hubby is still down to play… so i’m thinking I might get some newborn baby ear defenders that i’ve found and come visit if I’ve had baby…. can be baby’s first festy…. xx been promised somewhere quiet if I do make it.. 🙂
Thanks acidfairy 🙂 Really hope we do see you and minisprok-fairy 😀
Just a small correction, I don’t think it will be 24 hour music (we do need to sleep sometime!) but certainly will be much more in line with other festivals this year which go on til the small hours, will confirm hours asap 🙂

yeah i’m gonna be doing this, I have decided. I would like to do shambala too but I really don’t think I can afford it. I’m gonna get my early bird ticket for this ASAP so I get it on the cheap. I don’t know if I will get anyone to come with me but I don’t mind doing it alone. I would probably be ok with just over 100 jib spending cash.
