Hey guys im new to the forum and basically my story is I’m a 31 year Cystic Fibrosis sufferer , Now I’ve always liked my weed and probably smoked on/off since I was 16 but now the time has come to quit the smoke as my chest is getting worse and worse by the day , Now I don’t drink so I do still want the high

So basically whats the easiest options ? Space Cakes , Muffins or what ….Bear in mind im crap at baking and have never tried anything other than smoking joints

you could mix ground cannabis with heated butter on your stove in a pan and then strain out the liquid and add it into your mix and you’ll have edibles that will be ok but not top notch, another option is to get a magic butter or equivalent and make your own butter with cannabis

have you heard of gene therapy for CF? it seems like an intriguing treatment although i think at 31 you might be too old for it

Yep heard of it , I’m not too old for it , they are still doing clincal trials for it over here (im irish) but I’m not in any immediate danger far from it , I just have to watch myself from here on out , Cant beat smoking a J

But from watching youtubes vids most of the night i think I’ll try and make some cannabutter the old fashioned way seems easy enough and then make some brownies 😀

Is vaporising weed an option? It’s always been my preferred method of taking cannabis, the high is more energising whilst also far less anxious and paranoid.
You will be inhaling still, but no smoke and tar, just water vapour and cannabinoids.
I bought one of these handheld portable ones recently – Original Maple Launch Box Kit – Magic-Flight
Vaporisers are also far more economic with your weed, so it’s worth the price!

If inhaling vapour is a viable option with your condition, you should definitely consider it.
p.s. If you do choose to bake, pay attention to online guides as you have to be careful you don’t denature the cannabinoids when you cook and therefore don’t get high…

Pretty much tried Vaping aswell didn’t really like it found the high wore off really fast if i’m being honest, although it was quite an intense high, But ya for me its still not the best option for me

Please be careful eating weed.

It’s very hard figuring out how much you need to get the effect you want, and taking to much is very easy because it works very slow.

I used this method to make my cannabutter but with double measurements and I used the boil bag method because my ovens shit lol its the simplest to be fair, have fun being stuck to the sofa for hours 😉

Cannabutter also is great because you can add it to anything and after time you’ll know how much you can take, I tested it with toast lol
