Those two may be from the same house – play fighting is common amongst all cats, even larger ones if they do not have to go out hunting for food.
I had noticed what appeared to be cats visiting the garden in groups but at night the camera switches to infra red.
There are at least 3 more – the one that uses the garden as a WC if identified during daytime is likely to hear the skirl of the bagpipes and if that doesn’t discourage it a 1970s girls choir from North West Germany singing about “happy summertime” (that the pirate stations in NL regularly play).
For night time I am considering using a strong light beam that is harmless but annoying to the cat although on that side of the garden have to keep this below a certain height – or it could shine straight out to a tidal river and I risk getting pulled up for sending hazardous false signals to shipping (and/or the Border Force suspect I am smuggling stuff.
years ago there was a smuggler who did shine lamps towards the river to let the pirates know that it was clear to bring in their goods and a cat would sit in the window where the lamp was (there was no electric so the lamp would have burned mazoet/paraffin which created warmth) – The location is still called the “cat house” and “cat house point” is one of the places where all ships must report their location to the harbour master..
