“The agency refused to reveal the specific labs and most of the bioterror agents involved in the mishaps, citing security reasons and the federal Bioterrorism Act. However, it vaguely described issues such as āsending improperly killed select agent pathogens to entities not approved to receive themā and storing potential bioterror weapons in āun-registeredā spaces within CDC labs. The CDC said that one of the incidents involved Japanese encephalitis virus, which can cause deadly brain inflammation. The agency was quick to note that the virus is no longer considered a potential bioterror weapon by the government.”
That concerns me greatly, especially the last sentence. What sort of fucking idiot publicly says the deadly pathogen they sent somewhere they shouldn’t have and god knows what else, that they don’t consider it a bioterror weapon anymore???? It’s still a deadly pathogen isn’t it? Is the arguement that it can’t be used as a bioterror weapon based on them not having a fucking clue where it’s at anymore????
