where I work they work closely with training providers for NVQ and similar courses, they are linked to these colleges
A lot of the induction is also to assess your key skills as Biotech explained, and its also because with an FE college it can be a really wide intake, from youths to middle aged people, also many who are new to Britain or do not speak as much English..
TBH most colleges round here are desperate for good students anyway

maybe look for a job which will let you study at the same time? a lot of places will do this in this day and age if its related, so try something in the environmental sector. there seem to be a lot of engineering/construction companies in East anglia are trying to become eco-friendly these days…
yeah man, i use to do an apprentiship in mechanical engineering, was interesting don’t get me wrong, but i came out of it because i really didn’t think it was for me. I’ve been thinkin for the last two years that i’ve been wanting to get back to college and study science so i just hope i can get into doing that.
It’s proper friendly hours its like 4 hours a day, 4 days a week, so ya never know i might still b able 2 have a full time job around it!! need maself a motor geez! need lots of things actually…………wanna get loads of DJ’in equipment as soon as i start work :bounce_fl
