  • Does anyone read comic books/graffic novels? Iv havent but i have just purchased V for Vendetta (after loveing the film but hearing Jonathon Ross say it is terrible compaired to the comic). Is this a good book to begin with if anyone has read it (dont give anything away about its content though please!)?

Hope those who went out this weekend had a good time 🙂

    V is fantastic
try the watchmen as this is the bible – so I’m told

Mr Tank only reads graphic novels – the house is full of them

    also try the sandman series

or anything by dave Mckean and neil gaimen

the preacher series is also good

if I thnik of anything else I’ll come back

Like TG says – anything by Neil Gaiman – Sandman is especially brilliant, and the original Books of magic are also superb – he also did a series called Purple Orchid which is fun…

Hellblazer is another good one – you should be able to get the collected editions in internet land without any trouble (Gaiman did a quick one off issue which is especially good, and the earlier ones written by Jamie Delano are IMO the ones to look for)..

Swamp thing is good fun – especially the second series in which Alan Moore took over the writing for a while (Alan Moore is another writer well worth looking out for)

Those are pretty much my favourites – oh and add to the list “Green Arrow”, and “Shado” which were both more standard superhero efforts, but still very well written…

    just had a trip upstairs

    hellboy

(be careful not to order the written books – did this once and he’s never picked it up as theres no enough pictures in it :laugh_at:)
