one thing i’ve always wondered about crackheads, is why they tear out all the electrical fittings, plugs etc in their flats
my mate’s an electrician for newham council and he’s always being sent to the houses of crackheads and they’re all exactly the same
sometimes he’ll fix all their plugs and that, and then the council send him back the following week to fix them all again
weird

rampant paranoia.
to check for surveillance camera’s etc
i know some really bad coke heads who do this. i once shared a hotel room with a guy who thought CID were inside the mini bar and the TV.
mentalist

Yeah I know a guy who’s put tape across all his windows and TV and shit so people can’t see in or something.
Proper weird
didn’t you mean co.uk 😉
I haven’t read the sun for years (more SJ’ers do TBH) but it hasn’t reported on the rave scene for ages; not since the late 80s/early 90s – it probably won’t do until enough kids brag about their drug use on myspace.com (owned by murdoch) to make it worth spinning a story before they get turned in….
loads of people I know have tried crack – usually after a full on pills/speed binge when they want to carry on the buzz and are easily susceptible.
Some of them got well into it, some didn’t, but enough did to fuck up their lives and the lives of others quite considerably.
all of them started doing drugs because of the rave scene. It undeniably introduced the biggest drug culture into Britain that has ever existed – some of this is good, some bad.

:alien_abdwell the cops have removed the height requirement… :alien_abd
I’d leave them with the fucking bare wires TBH and let them get sparked.
Dead they are no further problem or burden to society.. but I can see why the council has to be politically correct as if they torch one house accidentally others could go up as well..
i don’t think that you really, truly, believe that “some of this is good”, do you?
before pills and raves you didn’t get that sort of atmosphere of people partying together from different areas, cultures, backgrounds and races; unless of course they were the full on hippies of the 70s and I did not come from that sort of background…
may be an artificial chemical euphoria but it reduces (if only for a few hours) the hate and agression in society – even if people want to kill each other on the comedowns midweek its is still better than nothing or pissheads fighting in town centres..
whats better, the kids in Norwich raving in a former military installation, or (as happened at the weekend) giviing a homeless a good kicking?
the crack problem and binge culture/paranoia over drugs is often caused as much by prohibition as individuals’ weaknesses.. although overuse of anything will cause mental illness, people also become paranoid because they are stigmatised and worried about being nicked….
