I LOVE speed. It’s always been my preferred poison. For me it makes me feel like I’ve got complete control and can function but I’m just a little bit away from reality. Amazing. It is really dirty though and it’s really hard to get it all nice. Someone once put dexyamphetamine (Is that how you spell it?) in my drink which theyd got from someone who’d been prescribed it. That was clean although it didn’t feel the same as the dirty stuff.

I never come across meth but it sounds horrible. No offence.

some of my mates were on it this weekend. Not good. i really hope it doesnt catch on. I havent tried any and im not going to, but all the stuff in the media makes it out to be really harsh, but is it really tho? Theres always harsh stuff about all drugs. so you dont really know what to belive. anyone got some unbiased info on it…

rancid stuff i reckon. some of me ex-friends are now up on the brown n crack, can imagine this appealing to em. sad really, some people just really have no respect for their own life n dont care if they get addicted. i’m 17 n half me mates are fucked up off drugs or violence, how the fuck does this happen

I tried some in 2003/04. I found it just like very strong speed. Certainly didn’t get any particular cravings for it.

however, whilst I don’t like to boast, I do feel I have somehow got a very strong handle on my emotions and desires; I wouldn’t have lasted 17 years on the rave scene around an sea of readily available drugs were this not the case.

People who come to grief with amfetamines tend to do so because they have been greedy and binged on them. That said I think methamfetamine is definitely too strong for regular use.

if you run a motor car on superoctane petrol mixed with ether and other additives (like what the gary boys do) it will certainly go fast, but the engine won’t last very long..

Exactly same happened with a fair few of my mates in 1989-1992, and this was in an affluent South East England city (even when there was a recession you could just walk into a job)

a year ago I was reading the police press releases for my old manor and lots of names I knew from high school were going down for major class A dealing and violence (grown men in their thirties now); they had been in trouble before but not at this level

its more to do with the level of fulfilment people get in their lives – you don’t need to be a full on hippy but as well as drugs IMO you do need to do something that makes you feel good about yourself, even if its conventional work/study…

The stuff we get up here is not like that. We got sold it as FK1 base on the cheap. 1 fat bomb would have you up for a whole 48 hours and, being a man who needs his sleep it proper did my head in after a day. Once I began to come down I coudn’t sleep or eat and the only logical thing was to try and get some more to stop me feeling so shit, but alas I had no money and it was a 30 mile walk into town from my old house so I rode it out.

most speed/base in SE England/London from decent sources was like that.

I do tend to use the terms speed and base interchangeably – although conventional (low quality) speed is less common these days since base arrived around 1995 or so, but base does vary in quality between batches and regions.

The meth I did was definitely stronger than the strong base I was getting at the time, but certainly didn’t turn me into a monster and make me want to rob grannies for their pension money and roast their lapdogs on an open gas ring for food on the comedown. That said, if people have an addictive personality (and this is the big issue) then the risks increase.

Someone in the local papers got nicked recently for selling amfet and much of it was only 5% purity. Even if I were in charge I would still have had the bloke arrested for fraud/poor quality items… :laugh_at:

i once had some speed that appeard to have flakes of white paint in it, it was so shit could have been more than 5-10% not a happy camper
