And for the record it was more the obscurity of a female Jehovah witness using an alias of a male characters name (what even caused confusion on the Jehovah’s witness site, hence the thread in the first place) and the name being a play on words using “fader” something a DJ uses.
Mby she’s a DJ, who knows, the point was more and more people are using this name, and that was a rather obscure person compared to your normal DJ profile on sound cloud, or you tube vid that has popped up over the years. I put the Jehovah’s whitnes bit in brackets to play down that being the main point, for comic effect … It obviously didn’t work. The link automatically picks up the thread title it came from.
The crying eyes was the only joke about being called a girl, but anyone who knows me, knows I actually don’t give a fuck about these things and have no issue with girls, men, femininity, masculinity or sexuality, what ever people want to do, be or are is fine by me, providing they aren’t deliberately trying to hurt or be nasty to people. It was a silly throw away joke that I’m sure you’ve laughed at worse coming out of someone like jimmy cars mouth.
Beside, it’s not even supposed to be offensive towards women, at least it shouldn’t be, I can’t tell you how to think or feel, but pretending someone was calling me a girl, in the style of school yard bullying is in no way me saying that women are inferior to men. It’s saying the person calling me a girl has this issue and is trying to hurt my feelings, and succeeded cos I know they are trying to be nasty directly towards me.
However, I’d not thought about it in this much depth till now, as it was just supposed to be a silly thing with no butt-end to the joke, only the fact that my user name has popped up in a rather random place a bit out of it’s usual context.
