The last confirmed sightings we have are between 1200 and 1300hrs on Sunday 22 May, although the timings may be slightly wrong. Joel was near a white Transit style van at the junction of the tracks just up from the main site and was seen by people who knew him well. If you were in the area and saw Joel please contact us and tell us what you know. If you are the owner of the van or were in the van can you please contact us. I appreciate there were a large number of vans at the site, but this vehicle was parked right on the junction beside a small red car.
We are confident that we have identified the group of people in the water that were previously circulated. There was also a sighting of Joel on a mini moto. Our enquiries suggest that this is a case of mistaken identity, but if you saw Joel on a motorbike or took one to the site can you please contact the investigation team to help us to confirm this. We are also particularly interested in any photos or video footage taken at the site after midday.
I would also like to reiterate that it is not my team’s intention to investigate minor offences that may have been committed, we are focusing on the search for Joel and anyone who has information that can assist us in that search should contact the investigation team
