Another one bites the dust. Well maybe not bites it it’s more blown down his throat. BBC News – David Haines’s ‘evil murder’ condemned by PM. Sure you’ll be able to find a copy of the video if you’re so inclined.
Just a heads up that sharing these links within Europe (I’m not sure if you are European or American) wll get all kinds of trackers put on your connection by one or more security agencies; it doesn’t mean you’d will nicked tomorrow but when “they” see traffic which contains both pro-drugs views and extreme content (violent porn, or terrorist videos) they check everything else you do.
Its not uncommon for lads here to get pulled up on drugs stop checks and then busted for any porno they have also got on their phone / computers if it either their dealing or porno interests go beyond the accepted level (this has happened ever since the sex worker murders in 2006).
A lot of the GCHQ and Ofcom boffins are British Asian; many are moderate Muslims who are horrified by what is going on. Others who are White British are aware of right wing extremists travelling to Eastern Europe to stir up things in the Ukraine. Both the GCHQ boffins and the would be terrorists are from their 20s to around my age group and all of them are intelligent, well educated young men.
Worse still; there is clearly some complicity within the mostly US-funded video sharing networks; who are likely making money off ads and sponsored content associated with these videos; some of these ads themselves may be terrorist recruitment campaigns.
I am also British Asian – I’m not Muslim (I’m supposed to be a Roman Catholic) and can remember when there was civil war in our country between Catholics and Protestants, although what they IRA and UVF did was mild compared to what is going on today. But that has burned in to the minds many that bullets and bombs work better than democracy if a group of people feel marginalised.
Incidentally since I started monitoring a Catholic radio station out of curiosity; on those devices where I can’t block ads I get all sorts of Christian propaganda from the born again evangelist types (not that its of any use as you don’t need to be born again in Roman Catholicism as you never stop being a Catholic even if you don’t attend Mass)
I dread to think what young Muslims could be being exposed to; particularly if its in a different language than English; and many ad networks will accept anything provided the bills are paid.
Also if the social video networks say they can’t block the content that is pure bullshit; I regularly get videos of perfectly legal electronic equipment blocked in Germany because I’ve got some Schlager music playing in the background; this is simply about copyright/money (and a bit silly as the soundtrack is often from a mobile phone microphone so not good quality – it makes it impossible for folk to buy the song if they can’t hear it!)
Points taken General Lighting. It was a bad idea to post that bit and I wasn’t completely thinking straight when I posted it. Yo be clear, I hate the thought of anyone being killed, regardless of race, gender or whatever and these murders have been of the worst kind.
Sorry if anyone was offended.
Its not so much a case of being offended but I didn’t want you getting in any unneeded bother; there are lots of plod who aren’t quite as smart as GCHQ etc so they add 2+2 and end up with 400 ; and use that as justification for surveillance ops. Paradoxically although the IS are very anti drugs (even compared to the Taliban) at least some of the lads who went from UK to these countries themselves admitted they used to be partiers / drug users….
I understand. Thanks for the reply.
Honestly, I dunno WTF I was thinking when I made this post but sometimes I get too fucked to think straight. It is sick and brutal and the perpetrators are some of the most evil people in the world currently. I regret what I posted, it’s not a joking matter.
it isn’t something that should be covered up or not discussed (any more than sex or drugs); and it is as much the mainstream media and the profit driven social networks who are at fault; as they actively use “shocking / controversial content” to try and sell their ads; others tacitly encourage folk to get involved in dangerous situations as freelance journalists or various forms of activism.
These wars have been going on since I was 7 or 8 if not before; I know folk who made the films I used to watch on telly then; they stayed in one piece because the BBC (as well as MI6 and GCHQ) plus their trade unions made sure there were always others watching their backs and they would them to stop and return to Blighty before things got on top.
The technology has made an impact; a few years ago I was talking to this Romanian dude at work about when it all kicked off in their country and the soldiers trussed up the president and his wife and riddled them through with bullets – only parts of this video were shown on most West European TV stations; and although the national broadcaster is now in the EBU the full video is still restricted. He knew folk who worked for the TV news and said they had wanted to film the lot; but their old video camera took a few seconds to start up the tape – the mechanism of an AK-47 works quicker than that. (This was also why journalists in those days took less risks).
22 years ago folk of all backgrounds were warning the UK and US authorities stuff like this would happen (I was at University then and you could see the factions developing across the campus.) Ironically I got chucked out of the place for getting into the Internet before it was officially released to the world; and bringing the university in to disrepute by discussing things you can see on the BBC today; whilst a lot of the hipster media students and wannabe jihadis (the two are not mutually exclusive and don’t always come from stereotypical skin colours/backgrounds) graduated and got well paid jobs in the 90s; but that evaporated shortly afterwards in the early 2000s and made a lot of people bitter and angry.
OTOH if you end up as a uni dropout who took a shit ton of drugs; partied hard and had a lot of conflict with parents/family in your youth yet managed to get a fairly well paid job in tolerable conditions and do something useful in society you at least feel slightly grateful for your good fortune.
You have done a very brave thing by acknowledging you made a mistake because presumably drugs / alcohol / staying up late had desensetised you to some extent; many young men will not admit to this and end up getting into dangerous situations the world over. My generation in the 90s / early 2000s was just lucky because there were less harmful opportunities for mischief; and less worries about resources etc which are ultimately what lead to wars and bad stuff happening; people are not born evil.
You have a lot of knowledge on a lot of subjects GL and I always enjoy reading your posts. I really appreciate all your replies.
TBH most people of my age group know this stuff and those (who did follow the rules) know a lot more than I do; it is only that many were “rewarded” by having a wife and children; from which they often need to hide any “vices” to keep their family together and safe.
Some of this is understandable; but a lot of parents unintentionally cause more risks by trying to protect their kids from “bad news” even well into their teens; which makes them at greater risk when they get to University age and beyond (ironically the trend to make courses easier and to some extent more interesting/fun means that although more young people graduate they find there isn’t an equally fun job at the end of it (if they get one at all); they can then easily become ripe fruit for extremist movements.

Don’t sweat it pal. The vast majority of us have posted things on here whilst intoxicated and regretted the next day.

agreed i always get warm and fuzzy inside when i see that GL has the latest post in a thread.
just a thought but Muslim student associations and the like support Hamas and Hezbolla and i think the split between muslims is less about sunni shia and all that jazz and more about coexisting with or perputrating genocide on Isreal.
