have heard its the case in Portugal, am heading there soon..anyone know?
Yes all drugs in Portugal are de-criminalized and you won’t be arrested for possesion of any drug.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Drug_policy_of_Portugal
And an article (which I haven’t read yet) looking at how it has worked over 12 years.
Hooray! thanks:)))))))
You’re welcome 🙂
I’m jealous now though lol.

To a certain extent, anything more than a 10 day supply (except a few – LSD, 500mcg tops) is still considered a criminal offense. If you feel like reading the technicals, you can stick https://www.erowid.org/psychoactives/law/countries/portugal/lei30-2000.pdf through google translate. I think I might still have a copy of the translated version somewhere..
Yeah you’re right RaD, similar to Holland. Possession is pretty much fine, suspicion of supplying is still criminal I believe.
Holland’s laws on marijuana are a bit odd, don’t you think? Coffee shops can legally sell it, but not transport/purchase it. Kind of like how US states are legalizing it’s medical use, but possession, use, cultivation, transport and sale of it is still a federal offense. But hey, North Korea got it right!
As far as the coffee shops go it may seem weird but thanks to the US the entire world is signed up to a UN treaty banning everything and meaning countries could not opt out or change their own laws.

Which is ironic really because America is probably closer to at least changing it’s cannabis laws soon.
america is still a long way off from revising the federal schedules, the current cadre of republicans is not o.k. with admitting the war on drugs is a failure.
That might be true but it’s a lot further off from the attitude it took when Nixon was cunt-in-chief.
the boomers who are aging out were young when Nixon came into power, they still hold some sway, but the bigger issue is a ton of boomers and gen X’ers who were brainwashed by Nancy Reagan and just say no.
That and the fact that large numbers of mexicans who’d be for legalization are illegals and tons of black people can’t vote cuz they are felons and the general ragtag nature of the democratic party makes the unified front that the RePubs put up very daunting to say the least.
also gay rights is ahead of marijuana legalization in the cue
overall i agree the attitudes have changed alot since 1970, but not near enough when the people in power are concerned. even joe biden is a cu*T when it comes to drugs and he’s fucking 2nd in command
You have one bizarre set of people over there mate.
