WTF is the point of these anyway? Even if they work as expected they are likely to fill the surrounding area with radio interference as well as light (the Zigbee wireless links used can also cut across the 2,4 GHz wifi bands which are already crowded and polluted).
If you really want a pretty lightshow in your house or hackspace there are better tried and tested ways of doing it with DMX which can still be securely linked to remote control systems…
