This TBH makes me even more concerned for Germany’s safety and stability.
Not that I think VW should have gone unpunished for this scandal (their cars were never as good as made out to be anyway) but that the job cuts are almost certain to fall upon frontline workers, some of which could blame eco regulations as a whole and it could make them irrationally nostalgic for previous decades, when VW and the rest of DE’s motor industry was propped up by a “strong government” (although their tanks were never as good as made out to be either, thats why they lost).
