  • I’ll miss Etizolam, but Diclazepam did nothing for me. I think GL is probably right. If you can’t find any information on an impending ban then it’s probably going because it wasn’t really selling.

You might well be right GL I’ve searched for any new guidance from the ACMD and found nothing. With the etizolam, I’m pretty confident the info about them getting legal advice was correct, but no-one’s said anything about diclazepam.

Etizolam has been controlled in some EU countries and the sale of all RCs is a grey area; as are a lot of things. its even possible the reason that DE and other nations controlled it is that they prescribe it legitimately and paradoxically that means its unlicensed import is a stronger offence of diversion.

I wonder if one reason for some countries controlling these RC’s is that they have far higher standards of road safety and healthcare than the UK; with particular attention paid to younger more risk taking sections of society; therefore problems caused by their use are picked up more quickly.

It also appears that other Northern European nations do not want to encourage a society where folk (especially older adults) feel they need to exist on a cocktail of stimulants and depressants to fit in time for work and hobbies (or to cope with stressful situatrions) which is what a lot of people in the UK and USA often do (it was a Europe wide problem in the 1970s as well)

I only ever bough diclaz once and I afree they are shit compared to etiz. Also looking at the vendors flogging thwm at 50% off, they don’t say they won’t be restocking, unlike with the etiz.

I think you’re reading into it too much, it’s cheap shit, they could probably afford to cut the price to 80% off and still make money.

Everyone who has taken Diclaz has told me it’s shit, so why would they buy it again?

I can’t answer that mate, it’s just the closest thing to feasible I could come up with.

Chances are then that they’re hoping to convert some of the Etiz users on Diclaz, but given most people think it’s naff it’ll be a tactic to get you to buy it.

That’s certainly as good an explanation as mine bud.

OK, a smaller, more specialized vendor has just told me he has no idea himself why vendors are binning it, but he’s following everyone e;se. He also told me they are being binned in America as well, with no pending legislation known about. Bizarre.

if no one likes it it’ll get binned as you put it.

GL getting to the root answer as usual.

    Yep, as usual.

If I had to wager a guess it would be that they just wanna move their stock of Diclazepam to former Etiz users and by cutting prices a bit they can do so quicker , after all its not as an effective a chemical . Looking forward to trying Nifoxipam this week …. fingers crossed on it .. but either way there will be some newer RC benzos to hit the market this year .
