  • They definitely went to the moon man. Here’s Stephen Fry and the QI crew talking about it…

If they didn’t, then they must have had several hundred tape recorders working perfectly for all missions to simulate the telemetry from ground control, up to the vehicle, and back down again… with thousands of radio hams checking in constantly.

Oh, and mission control would have had to stick perfectly to a script, and the tape recordings of the astronaut respondents must also have been perfect. (it takes about 3 seconds for a radio signal to make the round trip, Earth-Moon and back again).

Given the era of technology, I’d say it was FAR more likely that some astronauts went to the moon than that all the landings were faked.

Some of the PICTURES were probably faked. I’ll admit that much. But the telemetry (radio conversations really) is what clinches it for me.

Do you think we have walked on the Moon?

I personally am not sure. There is compelling evidence either way.

I personally am sure that I have NOT walked on the moon. There is another explanation for my cheesy feet, and it isn’t moonwalking.

Assuming we have been to the moon. Why have we not been back? Or even sent a rover? Have we been warned off? Is there a secret alien base on the moon?

We are making sure that the polar parts of the moon really do have deposits of water ice. That is a game changer as far as further exploration/colonization goes.

Second one to get there dies of thirst… or maybe has to pay water and air tax to the first comers. Which is maybe why the Chinese are in a hurry…

    fuck the moon!

    the deathstar’s much better innit

what is the moon? That shouldn’t be an option lol and of course we did

Oh of course. Because we all know that the USA has NEVER lied about anything to protect it’s interests! 😉

    That QI was great

They may have a history of lying to protect their interests mate, but they also have an equally bad history of the truth coming out about such things too!

The moon is a cheese and the earth is flat!

Finally someone else who hasn’t been brainwashed by the media & government!

Given that 90% of folk reading this forum were not even born when the first moon landing occured and NASA did more than one (and must have taken photos each time) I would not be surprised if NASA have also over the years cherry picked the best of the pics from all 5 or so landings and edited them together to get the best ones – added to which they are almost certain to have experimented with various image enhancement techniques (within reason that is fair enough as thats what space agencies the world over do as part of their research.)

That wouldn’t be quite as much a complete fabrication as although not 100% scientifically accurate.

I don’t know if anyone was born before the moon lanidng on this site

Technically I was but hadn’t learned to talk by that stage in my development, so asking deep rooted questions like “Is that a fake?” were beyond me at the time.

Apparently my paternal grandmother never believed the moon landings were real. Then again she lived in a bungalow so any kind of landings were beyond her life experience.

lying about crashing planes, towers and terrorists is one thing… lying about going to the moon, could be a step to far even for the greatest porky telling nation 🙂
