I’ve only smoked marijuana, I’ve never eaten it in like brownies or whatever. What’s the difference between smoking and eating? Is there a difference and which one is stronger?
The effects are very different but I wouldn’t really say that one was stronger than the other. The main difference is the onset of the effects, smoking gives you an effect almost immediately but cakes or whatever can take up to a couple of hours for you to get the full effects.
No difference in the strength of the high although some may think that eating it gets you more stoned but thats just because when you eat it you tend to consume more than you would through a single smoke. As crispy said smoking is pretty much an immediate affect where as eating takes an hour if not longer to get in your system and will last longer.
Every moment you are NOT smoking a spliff, the smoke goes into the air. So smoking it gets you less of the chemicals contained within it. Also, smoking causes more health problems (eating it can also give you some health problems).
Also, eating it or taking it as a spray takes much longer for the body to process.
Smoking the stuff is quick though. Gets you a hit very quickly, within a few seconds. Eating it takes like 20 minutes plus to kick in, depending on how fast your stomach can get food processed into the blood stream (part of overall metabolic rate).
As most people are lazy and want a quick hit, they go for the smoke. Indeed, I reckon (in the UK) most people get hooked on tobacco not from cigarettes, but from joints made with both weed and tobacco.
Giving up weed is easy. Giving up tobacco is VERY difficult.
But, the smart money is on not smoking. I know it’s not easy and I find this tough. Well, if it was easy, everybody would give up smoking.
Stress relief comes in many forms, and while weed is seen as an easy, non-addictive and healthier high than say, shooting up with heroin, the truth isn’t nearly so clear cut.
I’ve tried both eating and smoking weed (I tried smoking heroin but did not like the hit) and I reckon that, long term, taking a bit of spray made from cannabis is doing me less harm (and maybe more good) than smoking.
When you smoke you take a drag, another drag, and another drag, until you reach the point where you have had enough, then you stop
When you eat it, it’s tough shit if it’s too much, you’re that fucked and you have to deal with it for as long as it takes
As a drug that is not very pleasant when you overdose, I would not advise eating it

Can you tell me some pleasant drugs to overdose on please? 😛
You don’t OD on weed, that’s actually near impossible hence there’s never been any recorded deaths linked dirrctly to weed. If you get too high and can’t cope that’s just you being a pussy lol
i’d say eating is the better way even tho i never do it… it takes away the harsh smoke, u dont need tobacco, and u dont feel the need to keep doing more and more. last time i did it with a girl that doesn’t do much drugs and hours went by and she was laughing that it wasn’t doing anything and then suddenly she started to trip, and then after a while she was like ‘this is a bit much’ lol, it was a bit strong, we only used resin and didnt even put that much in… a good money saver!
there was this doc on bbc teens, where they follow some kids cooking and getting stoned… sorry the 1st part wasn’t there but who cares its not that interesting… the cooking method and the aftermath is there
As others have said above
1) You CAN overdose on weed, what most peeps call the ‘Whitey’, your blood pressure drops, all the colour drains from your face, you get shivers, cold sweats, can be a bit wobbly and even puke, and can give a similar ‘spinning room’ feeling like you get from being drunk…….. BUT unlike most drugs NO amount of weed can cause a fatal overdose.
2) Eating weed can be very nice, takes about 30mins to kick in and up to an hour to peak, when you get the dose right gives you a long lasting nicely stoned feeling, but DONT do it you have to work or drive or look after kids, or anything like that, the benefit is also the downfall as unlike smoking it wont wear off in 10mins, once you have eaten it you have to ride it out. Advice, start with a small dose.
3) Weed does lead to harder drugs, I never smoked tobacco before I started smoking weed, and even though I very rarely smoke weed any more I am still hopelessly addicted to tobacco. I think if I was back at the start now I would only smoke weed mixed with some kind of herbal mix and try to avoid tobacco all together.

So if you had too much Caffeine and got really sick that wouldn’t be an overdose? Of course it is… just because you cannot die doesn’t mean you can’t overdo a substance. Don’t be fooled by the pro cannabis not being able to directly die from it OD stuff.
And as for being a pussy? lol have you ever eaten weed? eat 6 grams of good hash and when you are fucked out of your head unable to move out of bed and sleep most of the time tripping your fucking balls off horribly with anxiety for 20 hours then come back and tell me if you feel the same.
Dafts friend ate like an ounce of hash and slept for 3 days, he kept trying to go to the toilet and was KOing on the floor on the way and sleeping for another day then trying to get further to the toilet but kept KOing and sleeping again.
High dose oral THC can give major visuals and can get very psychedelic.
I know a lot of people also that may as well be dead from their chronic weed addiction, also know a guy who commit suicide from cannabis related mental health issues and others who have got psychosis etc from it. It’s not all fun and games and is not the perfect drug whatsoever.
Anyone know if eating too much hash can kill you? Most people who say “you can’t die from smoking cannabis” mean from smoking it.

It was a few spliffs short of a half Oz. (he swallowed it whole as well!!! Probably lucky as it may have passed through him not fully digested) man he was soooo fucking ill from that! >.<
I saw an erowid experiment where they gave some dude 3 ounces of hash orally and monitored him through his experience and other than him having a shit time and being fucked up he was ok.

well they must of had some idea it wouldn’t kill him or they wouldn’t of given it to him (at least i fucking hope so!)
What happens if you eat a KG? Surely there must be some level that makes your body go … “naaa I had enough”?
Disclaimer, please no one actually try and answer this question by trying it!!!!!

I agree that THC in high dose can cause a “trip” effect. I wouldn’t say it causes psychosis but it can REVEAL an existing mental health imbalance.
I’ve seen violent people get violent on weed. It wasn’t so much the weed as what was already there… but if the conditions are right, normally balanced people CAN throw a right wobbler on too much THC.
Least toxic plant known. Smoking it means smoking paper smoke as well.
Things like vaporisers or water bongs… well, unless you already have lung cancer, you are chancing your life (with long term use). In my opinion.
Chillum smokers in India can have a long life, but it’s a fairly common reaction to stay out of the way of smoke…. Bhang Lhassi (yogurt drink) is a common alternative outside of the Shiva temples, although it’s normally only consumed (by hundreds of millions of the population) on certain festival dates.
