I know there’s a few people here who do not enjoy the mainstream club scene however I’m fairly new to clubbing and so i still want to explore what fabric, ministry, et al have to offer.
Now, my question is, do you go clubbing alone?
I ask because the majority of my friends are not into drum and bass or house at all and wouldn’t be seen dead in a club or at a rave.
Ive come to the conclusion that I’m not going to spend my weekends standing around in some god awful weatherspoons anymore. I want to meet interesting, non superficial people. I want to go to clubs and dance my face off until they close.
I need to meet like minded people to go clubbing with and there’s only one way to do that right?
Never been clubbing on my own. Where abouts in the south east do you hail from. anywhere near Hemel?

You’ll probably not find this at a mainstream club.
not tonigjt anyways
I go solo to clubs. I work as an IT contractor, so its 3 months here, 6 months there – getting over the fear of going out on my own was crucial to not being very lonely in this career.
Do you smoke? Even if you don’t, if you’re solo in a club the smoking area is the place to be to get chatting with people. I went on my own to Fabric when I was in London once, got chatting to some crazy German guys and a wicked night of blazing and raving followed!

I found that as well. Whenever I’ve gone to raves I go off on my own and chat to randoms in the smoking areas.
Haven’t done it for a while though! 😉
Yeah I’ve been to raves on my todd several times … end up meeting the wierdest people haha. I remeber once I was at some rave in milton keyns not long after the sanctuary shut down and spent about 3 hours jabbering to this dude who was selling rizzla and smoking parifinalia from a little shack type thing. :laugh_at:
I’ve been out (when younger) on my own dancing – had some right laughs – but was also pretty cautious where I went and made sure it was somewhere I knew etc – being a bird and all that

I’m going to Hospotiatality at Brixton Academy in April.
Not on my todd, but if you want to meet up that’s cool
I sometimes go on my own, simply because most of my friends are not into it. It’s not too bad. I’ve met people in my regular haunts and I see them and chat with them occasionally. And I’ve grown the ability to make conversations with people I don’t know, once I am comfortable. That said, I am still vary about visiting new places on my own.
Problem is, I don’t always enjoy groups. When I go clubbing, I do it for the music and the dance. Socialising is good in between but I don’t like sitting with a group all night. And if it is a small group, I feel bad leaving them and fucking off to dance. So, going alone just strikes me as more practical.
