Well reading all this I thought id put down my own experiences.
It all started when I lived and worked in Germany. Didnt know anyone or had any friends there. I stayed in my flat for 6 months because I thought it was really sad to go to clubs on your own. But after 6 months I was going crazy and thought fuck it why should I care what anyone else thinks. They aint in my situation so lets do this. I went out clubbing on my own. At first was a bit weird coz there was no-one to chat to or anything and felt a bit paranoid that everyone was looking at me. I think it was all in my head. Anyway got used to it and enjoyed it for a bit.
Now I’m back in the UK and the fact that I love electronic music, most of my mates are not into it at all or if they are, then they are married and have children. I moved away from London where I grew up and again I have very few friends where I live now. I go to bars and all that with them but when it comes to DnB, Techno, Hardcore, Old skool then I buy a ticket and go on my own. Well why not!
At the end of the day there is nothing wrong with going out on your own at all. We all need to let off steam somehow and we all need to be happy. Only thing is ust be careful and be wary of your surroundings and always get a cab to and from the venue. Peace
