Are you a dog person or a cat person?
I’ve only become a cat person the last year actually. I think they have more self respect and I like that in people/ animals.
And one of the top 10 internet celebrities is a cat:

either. I have 2 cats and 3 dogs so I’m not fussy about which is better, they’re both epic.
I voted Dogs because they’re loyal and generally all very happy to see you and be around you…
I couldnt vote for either, because i prefer dogs, but also admire the honesty and self respect of cats. If a cat dont like you….you know about it!
Dogs, dogs, dogs, dogs, dogs! And another of the top 10 internet celebrities is a dog!
I love both, I love all animals but cats have a special place in my heart. They’re so independent and when they cuddle me I feel like I did a good job because if they can’t be bothered with you they just fuck off. It’s like.. I’m the dog to them..

I vote for catdog.
I ment to talk to you about this the other day actually …
It depends what you want from your pet really. It all really depends if you want to have a pet that’s really reliant on you or one that will do it’s own thing a bit more.
A dog might be a good idea, as with the littleun and going out for walks a lot, a dog would fit perfectly, but they are a bit more needy then cats normally. Dogs are a bit more of a hand full to raise and require a lot more training and time (even when they are adults they require more attention then cats as normally cat’s are all about the munchies, where dogs want company more then cats and want food just as much. You also can’t let dogs go off and do their own thing without you keeping an eye on them (again I’m just generalizing), you can let a cat out after it’s got used to the house it’s living in and it’ll do it’s own thing. With a dog you can’t really do this (apart from in a garden) so for that reason alone they’ll need more of your time, as well as the need for more attention then cats.
I’d also think about the size of dog as well, getting a big dog/dog that will grow to be big, may not be a wise move with a little person about (I don’t mean you :P). I’d be wary about it’s temperament as if you’re getting either from a pup/kitten then it’s hard to tell exactly how their personalities will turnout. Even though a cat does have sharp teeth and claws they lack the strength that a big dog can have. I’d also be thorough about checking into the animals behavior if getting an adult dog, as they might not react well to new people etc etc.
So yeah I think dogs are a fair bit more work, but imo it’s more rewarding as you can have a connection with them that you just don’t get with cats.
What Daftfader said is so true..
Dogs aren’t needy, they just require more attention which is good because you build a special bond with them. When I get home every day my dogs are well excited to see me.. that’s love.
Sorry but I really don’t like dogs. They smell and make you pick up their rank turds and laugh about it with their buddys at park. I much prefer a well domesticated cat to help me with the DIY and other household things. Also they can give great advice and sometimes even lend you money.
I probably will own a dalmatian in five or six years but atm I cant hold a lead and push the pram.
We live opposite a dog park though so lyla gets a chance to play with them a lot. (she loves oggies)
Cant agree with the having more of a bond with dogs than cats, my friends cat mrs G always waits at the door for her and sits on her lap most nights (you cant beat the sound of a cats purr)
This cat normally sniffs me but never lets me stroke her and really randomly one day when I was pregnant she spontaniously jumped on me sniffed my belly and fell asleep on it!!
Fuck it I might just get a goose…
