OH MY GOD! Yeah I have had sleep paralysis! I coulden’t explain it to anybody, but I woke up and thought that somebody was in my house but no matter how hard I tried I could no move, I just could not move at all! I had gone to bed feeling quite scared coz I was on my own in a big empty house! My friend reckons its to do with waking up to suddenly, apparently it takes quite a while for you brain and you body to wake up fully and obviously they where out of sink. Or was it different parts of my brain being out of sink?Either way REALLY FUCKING WIERD!
That sounds a bit like experianceis which I have been told about by me mum, though she referd to as “an out of body experiance”.
It occured after a hypnosise session, a couple of days later, incerdently. The hypnotist told her that she might experiance unusail experiances, during sleep. (wether it was conected to this is not known though)
But what happend, is she found her self floating aroud the house, floated out side, couldnt float through the window, so had to float down stairs and through the door, she then floated upstairs and to her feet, above the bed, where she could see her physical self, though her physical self couldnt move.
She says that she experianced voices of spirital guides, who told her not to move, as she gradualy, re-enterd her physical self.
She was perfectly allright though after that experiance, (though it spooked her a bit), she took us to the zoo the following day!
I keep having the most scattiest dreams of all, dream seeing trains with steering wheels, to allsorts of ludicrous stuff like dreaming that a houseplant was wilting and found that it had a lead connected to it, soon as i plugged the lead into the wall and switched it on the plant was ok.
Then there was the recent one where i dreamt the council had put new piles of tarmac on our streets but hadnt flattened it, then there was a boy racer going round on a steam roller flattening it all but the steam roller had only 1 roller, with the driver on top, bit like a unicycle (it had an engine!) – i then looked round and saw a blokey with stepladders next to the streetlamps and a bucket of paint painting them orange!!!!
I keep getting silly dreams like this all the time, must be the tablets im on
http://www.dreammoods.com is a good place to suss out meanings – according to it, tar represents someone conspiring stuff against me and the streetlamp means some1 i least expect will be there in my time of need – what the fuck! lol
I feel that the true meaning of Dreams, is not a definition as such, but that first feeling you feel, when you first wake up.
It is funny also, how many of our Dreams, disapate away, when we awake, and many of them, we never remember.
Your Right!
a mate told me bout this trick, keep a dream diary, have a note book an pen by bedside, start writing as soon as you wake up, the sooner the better.
I did it for a bit, its quite mad! Have all sorts of stuff written down that I don’t remember, only for fun but did it for a bit an its quite funny reading
having grown up in Dover, as a child, in the eighties, there was certanly no shortage of extreamerly high and low frequencies, out of normal concouse dayley perception.
There was a ginormase tv transmiter up west cliff and an Early Warning System at east cliff. The early warning system was a reminder of the threat of a thermal nuclear holocourst, brought about an arms race, of a cold war.
Both of these masts produce frequencies, out of our normal dayley perception. I am not stating that I know the courses of such frequencies to mental, physilogical health or to the psyche but that is how i felt dew to the osilating, alternating, disipaiting and echoing noise and feeling of these frequencies, which would frighten me, depribe me of sleep and put me in a trance like state.
Am i a mental?:you_crazy
ive had both these types, wonder what inspires them??
just read the other posts and wikipedia definitions, some types seem quite common. havent had many wierd ones but always get that falling feelin that makes me jump. really strange, like falling off a bike of something.
dreams are pretty interesting, didnt dream for ages when i was smoking alot more weed than recently but im glad there back .
If you get the chance you should read The Celestine Prophecy. There is some pieces in there I really love
Dreams are valuable when determining our path in life
and
dreams, and synchronistic coincidences, all guiding you in the direction of life.
Anyway it’s a great book give it a read.
I had a dream once, where by I met Jesus.
We walked across the Hills, oposite the town where I grew up.
I had a camera on me, a notebook in one hand and an aple in the other. As we walked across the hills, looking down over the town, I felt a sence of deeper understanding about the infuence of our actions, meaning direction as conserquence, evan though we didnt speak much. I kept on asking question, to what I couldnt understand the awnser to.
Some how, eventualy, mysticaly, we arived in Juerselam. It was a hot, dry and sandy desertish type enviroment, but with mornings and water for cammels and some slight vegitation, like olive trees.
I decided to take a photo of Jesus! As soon as I did, he cried No! and I woke up!
I tryed keeping a dream diary once, whilst I was still at secondary school.
I only kept it up for about three days as it got so scary.
I dreamt about finding a dead girl down the smoking alley where we use to go for a fag break. I had to go, help and arange her funeral, with my best school freind at the time.
I gave up keeping dream diarys after that dream!
I had a great dream once about a big, lean, whooly, black Dog!
He was great! I met him in this church yard, when I had an evil magican after me!
I held on to his fur, on his back and whoosh,,,,,
Away we’d fly,
up and away
into the dark black sky,
high over houses, schools and shops, with only the moon and stars above us!
