The reason I keep talking to myself…

I feel that it would be irisponsible of me to talk about some stuff under jonahug, as i may confuse people who aspire me as a dj by doing so and it wouldnt be responsible of me to do so.

I do sincerly belive and or feel all the things that i post no matter what name i sighn in under, (unless im having a joke or being psycastic)
But i have a degree of responsibility over jonahug, so as not to blind people delusivly, in all the thing i have posted with, as people who might like my music, do not whant to necersarily think of me as an Alchemist, Polertishan, scientist, actiervist, ect.

So I try to post responserbly!

There is nothing wrong with having mor than one user name.

Im sure that if people realy whanted to find out who i realy am, then they still could.

I think it makes better reading anyway!

Take shakspeare for example. Would his Plays not have been rather boring if they were just written from one percpective?

I defend my wright to post with as many names as i like!

Four is fine four now, though I might create a fith!

Untill, Partyvibe introduses Biometric testing, I shall probaly continue to post, Becuase, if it becomes that Fashist, then I dont whant Nothing to do with it anyway!

theres nothing irresponsible about a DJ wanting to get involved in stuff wider than music! Loads of DJ’s do this in some way or another.

Lots of my friends (including the mods here) are DJ’s but they are also involved in wider stuff to do with alternative lifestyles, and discuss the heavier political issues. If you genuinely believe in these things its perfectly OK to use your DJ name to discuss this.

If people like your music depending on how much they are into the “other stuff” they may or may not be interested in your wider sociological views – people are unlikely to be “blinded delusively” when in the 21st century in a harsher, more cynical world people mostly see DJ’s as hedonistic entertainers, not as spiritual gurus.

What are you really frightened of? That people might not book you as a DJ, or you might lose friends because of your views?

Maybe this is not the case – but the way this actually comes across to others is as if you are trying to “protect your brand” like what the big corporates do and also that you are trying to spin a discussion by adding other “agreeing persons” to it – rather than actually being honest about the issue in hand.

We had some “canadian girls” doing this recently, and it turned out to be a big company trying to sell make-up, as well as other people posing as “users” to put across sales pitches.

You are probably not intending to do this, but people these days are exposed to so much spin and propaganda they become more mistrusting of people with “alternate identities”.

I’m a bit confused, people have more than one identity, i get that, but how did other people know (or am i just being really dense here?)

Multiple identities? i thought about it because sometimes I’m in a serious mood, and am involved in ‘proper’ discussions and sometimes I just want to talk nonsense an sex an daft stuff.

I did wonder that maybe the daft stuff would detract from my serious posts and considered the possibilty of an alter-ego but in the end thought bugger-it . . .

I am who I am (good bits and bad, all sorts of facets an feelings an occaisonal contradictions) an PV will either accept me as that or not . . . also I’m not good at deception, would probably just confuse myself!:laugh_at:

Am not judging those who have pseudonyms so please don’t anyone get upset, if you want or need em then there’s obviously an honest reason, its an interesting subject tho 😉

The reason? he’s fucking mental! i can understand posting in different threads under different names (sort of) but posting in the same thread under different names what is the point? your just agreeing/talking to yourself… which in my book equals mad and taking up space with just your opinions, which seems a little selfish and arrogant. Also posting under diff names in diffrent threads isnt that a bit of a copout? if you stand by your opinions/views why have different alias’ that you have to hide behind?

Serious or not i have and will always use the same name, have a serious discussion one minute and then talk complete cod shite or sex the next? why not your only human you cant be serious all the time.

I dont think posting stupid stuff with detract from your serious posts as i just shows you can also be light hearted and fun, people on here will get to know you a bit better. (I think PHARTY is a good demonstration of stupid and serious posts :laugh_at: )

But as you say each to their own. Personally i dont understand the need to do this as if you have something to say why not have your name against it, something to try and hide? But then i suppose as long as your not being malicious with it, the is no harm or damage caused. Maybe just to a little trust.

anyway…Had another dream about being at a free party last night, woke up with this quality breaks tune in my head that i ahd been dancing to, wish i could make music cause it was a stormer of a tune and i can still remember it now and ive never heard it before, wierd.

Seriously though, most people here will accept you for what you are without having to constantly change your username – and by staying as “one person” it makes it a lot more easy for people to trust you and maybe assist you in what you wish to do, and that you are prepared to be accountable for what you say and responsible for it as one identity…

If you want to get that co-op idea off the ground this concept of trust, responsibility accountability to others will become very important.

I would also like to see you integrate all those facets of your persona into one posting identity Jonahug – I think it will make what you say easier to understand and more powerful :smile:[as opposed to diluting it through 4 different accounts and readers having to try and string it back together :wink:]
