I find duplicate files in windows by like carefully searching for them and stuff. It’s a slow tedious process but I get there in the end and its not like I have anything better to do with my time…

Not for windows but in Linux you can do it easily with:

fdupes -r -n /path/to/check

That will show you all files with matching MD5 sums. Sorted.

I have used the Clone Remover software it did great work for me. You must check this software.
