Will try to help distrbute 1st one, but my system is playing up.
I suspect the surveillance program goes into “stark paranoia” mode when I try to access .gov websites…
… my own fault for seeking unfamy I guess. I’m off for a ponder…

Thank you mate, much appreciated. 🙂
Why doesn’t the system like you trying to access it then? You been a naughty boy in the government’s eyes Mr. McDonald?

The leader of the city council isn’t actually Caroline Lucas any more, she was replaced last year by a dickhead called Jason Kitcat (genuinely his name)! The bloke has lost the support of most of his party members and they even tried (albeit unsuccessfully) to get rid of him last month. He’s an idiot who couldn’t run a bath, let alone a city council!
I don’t think an MP can work in another Council at the same time as a few round here and similarly where there are County and Borough councillors they cannot be in two places at once.
the older Greens have forgotten the track from the 1980s “too much too young”. They should not have put that young lad up as a candidate but someone just slightly older. its not the only place they have made this mistake. Also because of their relatively laid back/pacifist nature they are not as good as the right wing at dealing with conflict situations and/or making a quick decision. (I know many of the local Green Party members in a personal capacity in this town)
Every other part of the country has had the exact same issue with refuse collection, pay/conditions, etc – indeed so has the whole EU. Where I live the bins are still collected by Council workers, but where I work the service is privatised (the public sector workers are just slightly better than the outsourced ones in the service delivered).
Brighton has the reputation of being a fun / tolerant place but there seems to be fuck all work there even in comparison to East Anglia and given that its near to SE England, and many high tech companies based around there have since moved away or offshored their work to foreign lands.
Even the trades jobs seem to be done by East Anglians, some lad from near where I live had to drive all the way from Manningtree to Sussex to do some work in a roofspace of some organic farm type place. To do so means getting up at 5am for the drive and 200 miles travel. By the time he got there it seems he was so sleep deprived he was unaware of the presence of a energised 230V electric cable in the roofspace, and was sparked and killed – worse still he had recently become a father (probably why he took on a job so far away).
Which begs the question – are there no decent electricians / plumbers/builders in Brighton? A lot of the ones I speak to at work are very often being hired in that part of SE England, these are all Englishmen too, are all the locals just wanting to be media stars / artists/ green activists?

I think if anything Pat is blocking out the government rather than them firewalling him.

That’s really odd mate, I know quite a few plumbers/builders/sparkies down this way and they’re rarely without work. Maybe there’s too much work in that field for people to be able to deal with, so we need to outsource!

I don’t know, why don’t you ask them? 😉

Have any drug petitions ever made a difference?
I was about to ask this same question on internet petitions on the whole …
… never really looked into it, but they must have some kind of weight for them to keep on getting made surely?

I really do not know tbh! No harm in signing them really, but not sure if it’s the way to go about legalising drugs you know? are politicians really gonna change their mind from a load of people signing a petition? I wouldn’t think so but if you think differently i’d be interested to hear. x

If there’s enough signatures on it (ie enough that they think it’ll get them votes at the next election, politicians will change their minds in a heartbeat). They like to go with public opinion, especially in the 12-18 months running up to election time man.
