nukes are mostly manufactured or assembled down South (its one of the few things that is made in England and the South and why unfortunately a lot of Southern techies have right wing political views as it “puts food on the table”)
I think the bulk of current reactors are the “safer” kind although there is one remaining Magnox in Wales (North Korea uses a version of this to get the plutonium for weapons). There are 16 nuclear power stations in the UK; IMO way too many for a small country where we cannot afford mistakes.

I think we’ll have fusion soon. Didn’t the US pull off an experiment a year or so ago where they got more energy out than was required for ignition?
