it gets less beautiful when you have to navigate the damn thing in that weather every other day 😉
There’s whole channels devoted to folk standing at the docks and watching ships go by, especially at Felixstowe (a major port here).
Sailors like music and singing, it helps them cope with heavy work and the weather, especially when hauling ropes etc (you might still have to do some of this)
