this is on the youtube profile of the Estonian matey what also uploaded a film of the cargo ship he worked on with a drum and bass soundtrack..

unfortunately my language skills do not stretch to Estonian so had to use Google translate and some bits are missing, the chorus means “just one more day” (they have been working in Havana, Cuba which is a long way from EE – but can now go out on the town). They are also singing that you can get a lot of decent cigars, booze (and possibly also prostitutes) in this country, which tends to compensate for the harsh working conditions on board ship 😉

I did think bits sounded Hungarian and the rhyming was like a hungarian folk song sometimes known as a goat-rhyme Quite correct though – languages come in groups (for instance EN, NL, DE, DK, NO and SE are from the same group, similarly FR, IT, ES) so once you learn one its easier to do the others…
I played it to my mum over the phone and she though it was a load of drunken Scotsmen, which isn’t surprising as if you go North from Scotland on a boat you will eventually end up at EE and there were and are many trade route..
lol i was thinking that (or drum and bass)…
Veel õhtu lastakse meid linna …
