TBH you’ve been on here a while now and clearly aren’t fed or journo so hopefully someone will help out. For a variety of reasons I no longer attend unlicensed events (its just too bait at my age for one thing) otherwise I would pass on any info I get .
On the subject of eggs, one reason I wanted to (but could not easily get away with) photographing the langæg I was served at British Telecom research centre a few months ago was to show how badly it had been trashed enroute from the canteen. A langæg is exactly what you think it is, a long cooked egg which can be sliced lengthways.
Six fresh eggs have become one long, cooked egg. The pre-cooked long eggs ensure uniform and beautiful slices. Ideal for using in sandwiches, flûtes, salads and as pizza-topping.
These were invented where !sinner69! comes from between 1978-1980. I remember seeing the machine on telly back then.
The original idea was to use them on board ship, where normal eggs would be destroyed due to the ship rolling about and the other option (keeping them inside the bird until required) was stopped as health and animal rights concerns discouraged the keeping of live poultry aboard. The term “duck fucker” was once given to the sailor who had the job of looking after these.
The Japanese (also a nation with strong maritime traditions) worked with the Danes to perfect the langæg manufacturing machine (hence why you can buy these long eggs in many Asian coastal nations). Cooks on dry land realised they were more convenient for storage, plus they are popular in places like Singapore where they are not allowed to have chickens running all along suburban streets (they still did in Malaysia as recently as the 1990s).
anyway this langæg would have been packed and sent from Denmark to the docks here (over 700km). From the docks to Adastral Park is about 15km. From the canteen to where this “networking breakfast” I was at is about 0.05 km (50m). By the time it arrived it was just about edible but certainly not “uniform and beautiful”. The breakfast itself wasn’t that impressive, its like they’d tried to include elements from all of Northern Europe but failed dismally. I bet if I’d gone to Telia (NO/DK/SE) or T-systems (DE) the breakfast would have been better 😉
we in Britain invite all sorts of very clever folk from all over the world to that place, and serve them food like this. it is not surprising Britain doesn’t always have a good reputation for food or the quality of its goods in general (they used to bring in these Indians by the boatload and stick them temporarily in Kesgrave and they’d have to put up with the local rednekcks harrassing them on the bus). often more surprising that our broadband works at all…
Anyone know any more big parties like this? I heard norfolk was just as big as eggy 🙂 someone pm me details or something

hahah nice one general! I might have a langæg on toast in a minute! 🙂 You get an older crowd at the oldschool earthquake raves. Never been to one yet though.
Yeh I was just following the wrong rigs so completely slipped under the radar for eggtek. Joined a few more circles since I posted that to get the details next time. I am sour about Frenchtek though. Gonna be epic and I already planned a night in London for my birthday that weekend! Bait! Repr0bate though. Any pointers on getting in touch with him? cant find him on here. I wanna pick up some details for bristol and bath way. I hit there every now and then!
Wasn’t as good as the pevious 2 years which was a shame. And it finished on sunday too. Geezer who set fire to his moter at the end was a tit as well. Think too many people knew about it this year.
can someone please pm some information about the next party, thanks

Welcome to PV bud! As a newly registered member you need to stick around and make some friends before you can get information about future events, you just end up sounding like OB otherwise, can’t be too careful, I’m sure you know how it is 😉

I know no-one likes me on this website (well no-one likes me full stop) because of my bad attitude, and that i’m always telling porky pies like in my LSD and DDoS threads, but that doesn’t mean I don’t deserve to be loved. All I want is some attention thats why I post these fake “PM THIS GUY FOR RAVE DETAIL” messages. I just wish I really did have a rig so people would look to me and think ” what a guy”
So did you end up going to egg tek then george, It was half hour away from me so it must have been a fair old trip for you to come.
