EMBARRESSMENT???? think it’s the press who is embarrassing
:head_bang:head_bang:head_bang Why does the FCUKING press just let him be!!!!!!
It makes me so angry..I wouldn’t like paparazzies following my every move..
It’s not like he chose to be royal himself..
I’m sure some of you have another opinion about that, but I feel so sorry for him
Prince Harry is “dangerously becoming an embarrassment to this country”, a veteran royal photographer has said.
Arthur Edwards, who works for The Sun newspaper, criticised the 22-year-old Army officer over pictures which showed him allegedly lashing out at a member of the paparazzi as he left a nightclub.
Edwards called Harry a “fabulous young man” but said he should be “behaving a lot better”.
The Prince is currently on leave from the Army ahead of being sent to Iraq for a six-month tour of duty.
Speaking to the BBC, Edwards said: “I think Prince Harry is dangerously becoming an embarrassment to this country.

what I’m curious about is how come this doesn’t happen to the royal family of Denmark?
Are the papers forbidden to take photos of Danish royalty, is everyone more civilised there or is it something else?
or for that matter any other country which still has a royal family (as many still do?)
is it just because in Britain we still think we are “top of the world”?

I think that the royal family in Denmark is more open,it’s like they are a part of us all..
And I think the press in Denmark is a lot different from the press in UK..
I don’t know if the royal family and the press have certain agreements about when to leave them alone and when to be there..
We have great pictures of the Danish family..
I think they are loved by a huge part of the Danish people, and we all want the best for them..
They are our “face” out in the world (don’t know how to explain)
And I think the press in Denmark is a lot different from the press in UK..
the thing is they are all part of the same group of rich families as the UK royal family…
So maybe we in Britain need to become more like Denmark…
Britain has changed a lot since hundreds of years ago, there is not “unconditional respect” for royalty, from the public or the press, the royal family are seen as the same as other “celebrities” like David Beckham or Jade Goody, and people are envious of them because of all the money and land they “own”
Maybe if they started doing things like usiing smaller cars, having less expensive ceremonies, opening up more of their castles to the public and community (perhaps to do useful stuff with like set up a museum/eductation centre of British life and culture) this could change attitudes…
Not all Danes love the royal family..
But I think we are better at forgiving if they make mistakes..
We know they are royal, but they are human too,and we all makes mistakes
Think the royal families have to earn the respect of the people..
(But again we must remember they are just humans)
I think most castles in Denmark is open to public..But there are certain areas of the castles where the public is not allowed..Private chambers..
But then again I wouldn’t have people walking into my bedroom..
I know that a lot of Castle gardens is open to public..
I think our royal family is very down to earth..
They don’t only go to big parties, they visit people in their own homes. They help raise money to help people in other parts of the world..
I don’t know if it’s true, but I think a lot of it has to do with our Queen married a French man..Our King to be married a women from Australia and the last Prince married a women from Hong Kong..
Are we more international ??
I don’t know if any of the Royal family in UK have married people from outside UK.. Have they??
I’m not a big fan of the royals and they’re not one of my specialist subjects but Elizabeth is basically german and Philip is greek arn’t they so . . .
I don know that much about the differences between the two royal families and the public but I do know the British media is . . . .
aaarrrggggghhhh . . . staggeringly self-serving, criminally negligent, responsible for so much fear, pain, anger, utterly indefensible in so many areas words fail me . . . and they’ll be first up against the wall come the revolution . . .
as far as i’m concerned
Just found out myself :shy::rolleyes::crazy_fre:shy:
Agreed raaaraaaraaa
unfortunately this could be said for a lot of the British public too. the media have a lot of scum but they can’t be blamed for everything, and in many cases they are merely catering to market demand.
If people didn’t want to see the royals (or anyone else) hounded they wouldn’t buy the papers. Look also at what happens when people are given the chance to create their “own” media without regulation, you get stuff like various kinds of voyeurism and humiliation of peopel uploaded to sites like youtube..
yes i agree but is life imitating art or is art imitating life?
The media creates fear in places where there wouldn’t be otherwise. Places which the general public wouldn’t even be aware of if it wern’t for some ambitious twat and their money grubbing employers.
Fear and drama sell papers, ok so the public buy them (and i’m all for self-responsibility) but they don’t have to print such sensationalist stuff!!!!:head_bang :head_bang :head_bang
Good conversation GL but I can’t elucidate on PV bout certain stuff, too public ya know? Plus I’m getting all hot an bothered, media is a pet peeve.
Royalty? . . . . . . A bunch of f#*”^g ruthless bastards? . . . . . . Yeah ok, that’ll do me 😉
