Well what a superb weekend festival this turned out to be, not heard of it before…and only bought my ticket the week before. Saw some amazing bands and DJ’s performing from Friday early evening through to Sunday night (where I had to leave to get to my care job)…
Saw Babyhead, Big Red Ass, Los Albertos, Dreadzone, Bison, The Martin Harley Band, Magic Skool Bus, and loads and loads and loads more.
The festival site was enclosed space (which made it safe for the kids), there were plenty of decent and very diverse food stalls, which made it particularly easy to feed the fussiest of eaters. There were the usual mad, bright and vibrant ‘hippie style’ shops and three main marquees pumping out music till the wee hours of the morning.
The camping was excellent…there were even flushing toilets on site, plus a separate family field. The toilets were cleaned out daily, which made a heck of a difference.
Very well arranged, well done to the management, and thanks to all who went – everyone helped create the a fantastic party vibe :bounce_fl
It was wicked wasn’t it?
You must have missed Zion Train and one of the DJ’s from Orbital – they proper rocked sunday night.
I also liked The Big and when Lee Scratch Perry did a live jam with a band cobbled together from members of Bison and The Big.
We camped in the family field with our mates and their two-year-old (who had a FANTASTIC time) which was just heaven – comfy grass, quietish after dark, clean toilets, easy access to water, etc.
Going next year then?
