  • Hello everybody!!! I am a girl from Eastern Europe, and i am having an idea to move out to England for living, can anyone tell me who is the second town that has most parties in England after London? I wanted to move out in London but London is expensive, so i am seeing the options… Thank you very much!!!

hey eastern europe girl. there are other cities with options but in my opinion there is quite a large drop off after london. manchester or bristol maybe

Hey welcome to the site, as knowhope says bristol has a good few partys going on, along with manchester. Norfolk has been fairly renound for partys but from what I have seen in he papers over the last few years, the cops are pretty stricked on the scene.

I though for a second that maybe your an undercover reporter trying to gather intel on where the partys are located. But I hope not anyways.

Havnt really heard of much outside of london….Probably because I havnt been looking. There are cheapish areas around london…you dont have to move to central london and flatsharing is cheap 🙂

also fell free to add me on facebook… http://www.facebook.com/andriana.tarabunova

Well for an average job you get £1000-900/month….You could get a room east/west london in a flat share for £400/month…..Easy to live off £600 if you dont eat like an american 🙂

    Bristol is the way forward

A difficult one. London is expensive to live in but where the bulk of underground psy trance events are. Euphoric/uplifting progressive trance is occasionally played in large commercial venues but again expensive and atmosphere less pleasant.

Bristol has a lot of events but you may be living in a low cost high crime area where it is not always safe for young people. Also the better paid jobs especially for folk round your way are in East Anglia. but they aren’t always pleasant jobs or easy jobs and involve long hours (such as looking after the old folk) and trance events are now hard to find here – basically because the cops worked out they were bankrolled by local gangsters sellling xtc pills.

in short, legal dance music events in Britain are now only held in deprived inner city areas, and illegal events are at risk of being roughly shut down by the Police.

if you want genres other than psy trance more events happen in the North of the country, or TBH you might even be better off in Canada (ask DJ Mumbles, I expect he would know).

Thank you for your answer… I have the same opinion, i don’t want to live in a very cheap area with a lot of crime i can get paranoid, since here i am living in a small country where what we call crime you call case 🙂 that’s why i wanted to speak with people and see what are my real options, how can i contact with dj mumbles the only one reason i don’t want to go in canada is because i think the scene in toronto is dead ( i cannot find sites on net where are party promotions) and i have aunt there, if i get the papers i can live with her at the begining. i have read on one site that there are going on’s in England in Kent area, do you have any information about the scene there? and in Bristol the crime is at high level or i can find a decent area in which i can live in? Thank you very much for your repaly… P.L.U.R and blessings to you!

😀 i am not eating like american i am smoking like a mexican 😛 i’ve had this option on my mind i will need to think about everything and speak with people… and which are safer and cheaper areas in london?

Have you considered Leeds? There are a few underground club nights in Leeds or nearby including quite a few psy trance and hard dance nights. I’m not so much one for free parties but have had invites to a few nearby. It’s easy to travel to Manchester and Sheffield from Leeds, and I go out clubbing in both of those cities sometimes, as well. There’s a lot of housing, and lots of people house sharing. Also plenty of smaller flats, or cheaper houses because they’re a bit further out from the centre or in less popular areas. You could get a two bed house in a few areas in walking distance of the centre for that £400/month. :p

I’m sure a lot less happens here than in London, but there’s a fair bit, and a lot of people I know from London have said they prefer going out up here – nicer atmosphere, less crowded, etc.

It’s only 2.5 hours on the train to London, and affordable as long as you book in advance. A lot of people will get the bus instead to save money, but it’s obviously a long ride.

I won’t lie, it’s not a thrilling place for the most part (the centre is mostly a shopping area, and lots of offices and restaurants), but the party scene is good, and it’s not a bad place to travel from with the train station and airport. There are a load of more mainstream clubs as well, and some that are more studenty (we have two universities here), but I don’t know much about them. :p

I’m not too up on trance (might be worth checking out this forum : PsyMusic UK)

but there is a massive party vibe in the midlands esp derby and nottingham

    underground house music esp

And cheaper living than london but also they may have less wages – I’m not sure
