Last time they shared full details of an entire HD playout and graphics system for a small “youth channel/local channel”. I could still find the tech details somwhere; but you need about €10 000 of servers alone and some have 2 GFX cards of the kind you need for a top gaming rig. The only person here who might be able to build such things is probably Daftfader.
I shall keep a close watch on the EBU tech news. Maybe we might be treated to something like an open source radio playout system that works and can be used by those without advanced Linux knowledge?
