    should keep you informed:wink:

Who’s going to any? Planning on frenchtek this year for first time cant wait! Maybe a few others if get the chance, Just hope we actually get organised n do it this time!

make sure you are well informed, and chat to any europeans who may join up on here this summer and know the score

if these parties go well they can be wonderful

but there has been a bit of a backlash in recent years over what is viewed as a rabble of “drug using scum” taking over prime bits of farmland in Europe and leaving shit/rubbish behind same as what has happened here.

If things do go tits up, foreign police have guns, they are far are more liable to use extra physical force to close down an event, and/or to demand “release fees” of a few hundred euros or more to get your personal property back.

A lot of foreign cops aren’t actually civillian police but Gendarmes and are a paramilitary group with as expected nationalistic views and a belief in their own absolute power.

I can’t remember if it was Dragon fest or something else but one of these things got busted and there was some proper harsh footage of people being set about with batons. Ditto Czechtek in 2005, after the middle class locals decided they had had enough of raves now they were an EU country. Some of the crews who did italytek last year had some grief (although to be fair they may have carried on for longer than the event had been agreed to be tolerated).

Whilst as an EU citizen nothing too harsh is liable to happen to you if things go wrong (unless you think you are bullet proof), you can now also be “euro-bailed” back to the foreign country to answer bail. if you don’t be arrested in the UK and sent back – either way you have to make an extra trip to answer bail and to find your way back home at your own expense (same as how it works here!)

all this stuff has happened to people I know who have attended the euro-teks…
