These young folk are just starting out and may be in my region of the UK – so I am willing to let this go, provided the OP can confirm he is either part of the crew of has their full permission to post details of this event.
The full location or the hall has not been stated here – and hall parties are a legal grey area – some venues (not all) require extra TENS license for a event of this nature. Its only £21 and supposedly not that difficult to get depending on your Council area. (Other venues are already licensed for the party – its worth checking with the hall committee and being honest about it).
But if the organisers cut corners and ignore this requirement, or hire the hall under false pretences, the party can be closed down by Police and they might even get their sound equipment confiscated. This has happened to folk I know.
So there is a risk in posting such events on this very high profile forum. Sometimes also when cops see stuff posted on here they get worried the event will become to big for the area without safety risks or risk of damage to the venue – and try and stop the event or enforce extra licensing conditions. So please get in touch and let me know if you have got everything sorted with licensing and I will then make sure this event goes in the right place. if you don’t have the correct licnesing arrangements in place and you still want to try and “buck the system” then it really is best not to advertise such a thing on here as its evidence against you.
The last thing I want to hear of is a crews first event being closed down and their rig getting taken…
