I’ve never been so tired i fell asleep standing up, but now i can say i’ve topped it by falling asleep over n over standing up in front of rig… this shit would give you tinnitus if you stood there too long quickly!
I fell asleep standing up when I was about 16 after getting back from a rave and going straight to work in a computer market. It was held in an old sport’s hall that’s long gone now, but my job was to stand round the side of the stall selling computer cases.
A few of my old school friends worked there too on different stalls, one of whom I’d been out raving with the night before. He’d mentioned to my boss (his old boss, this middle aged Chinese man) where we’d been the night before. The guy (my boss) used to smoke and sell skunk so he was cool, and jokingly asked me if I’d taken any ecstasy the night before, not thinking I’d say yes, what’s surprising as he knew what went on at raves well enough to ask, but he did look pretty shocked when I said “yeah I took a bit” lol … mby he was just surprised at my honesty.

i was literallly in front of the speakers…
I’ve crawled into a bassbin before and gone to sleep, but i wasn’t standing up … far from it in fact lol. IIRC it had started to rain, and I was seeking shelter … :laugh_at:
i fell asleep in front of a stack before but i had a chair so its not as impressive
TBF, I’d only managed to get my head and shoulders out of the rain, but it was satisfactory for me at the time.
Im generally well behaved and raves but at school I got nicknamed ‘sleepy girl’ because I used to sleep a lot during lessons, at parties on the bus ect.
Dont your ears hurt?
I must admit, I have fallen asleep in similar situations. Not standing up though.
Come to think of it, on at least 2 the sound system wasn’t powered up, it was just the flattest driest spot at the time.
